I wake up today being Sunday and I feel so groggy. I then realize that I am alone on the bed and Elena,Precious and Marcia are nowhere in sight. I grab my phone to check the time and it is 11:00 am.
I really shouldn't make this a habit,i don't over sleep except I'm really ill ,because growing up in an impoverished area and home will do that to you.
My childhood wasn't a regular one I spent it reading books;everyday my mother would tell me my only escape from this horrible life we live is to be brilliant ,hardworking, perseverant and charismatic.
She advised me to read a lot and forget about trivial things such as, dating and friends.
"Those things would come to you in good time my dear.when your influential in society you'll have alot of people at your beckon so now focus on empowering your self by simply focusing on your education it is the most important thing and if you do become wealthy I'm counting on you for the betterment of the lifestyle I was born into. I had no one behind me growing up, so I made horrible life choices that still hunt me.leave men because they would ruin you then toss you to the side like scrap"she would say.Being someone's only hope is stressful because you always have to be self-conscious and pedantic in the way you do things.
I spent the entirety of my teenage years being molded, carved and drilled into the person my mom wanted to be but she never had the chance to.
I escaped high school without being noticed because I practically planned and practiced each day beforehand.
The day I met Elena Grant was life changing she wasn't as self-conscious as I was she was a rather Carefree and in the Moment type of person.
We didn't get along at first because I prejudged her,her friends were very snobbish and mean and I wasn't one to have friends,so when she sought to be my friend I gave her a nasty speech without getting to know her first.
That was the worst thing I have ever done to a person she didn't deserve that from me.
look now she's stood by me ever since that Stacey chick embarrassed me by spilling lemonade on my white shorts in the school cafeteria 4 years ago.
she left her old group when she found out they weren't truly good people and then we became best friends and made friends together.
My mom wasn't exactly fond of our friendship until she found out her family's status.
"Morning girlie" Elena says to me interrupting my trip down memory lane talk about speaking of the devil.
"Morning"
"What are you thinking about? She asks while handing me a cup of and sitting next to me on the bed.
"Nothing really just about back in the day"
"Everyone's gone home in preparation for work tomorrow and Marcia says to tell you that she'll be here at 8:30am to get you for work".
"Ok sure and thanks for the coffee it tastes delicious"I tell her.
"Your welcome and I'm glad you like it".
"Wait...when you say everyone is Marcus included ?"
"Yeah" she tells me and I frown because I didn't get to taste his mouth watering breakfast for the last time before he left.
"Don't worry your breakfast is in the kitchen he made some for you before he left earlier.
every one wanted to say goodbye but they decided against it because they didn't want to bother you because a girl needs her beauty sleep right " she says with a giggle.
