Maria's {P.O.V}
"Ah! Good morning miss I apologise for keeping you waiting" says a man in a tuxedo with black hair that is beginning to turn grey on sides. He looks at least forty five.
"Good morning Sir"I say turning towards him with my hand out to shake his.
"I'm Davies Lark and you must be Maria" he says shaking my hand.
"Yes Sir, that is me" I say.
"Right this way please" he says directing me with his arm around my back.
I turn back to look at Nicholas and Marcia. Marcia sends me two thumbs up while Nicholas just smiles at me.
I manage to return the smile to Nicholas and nod my head at Marcia.
Even though I'm terrified and my body is shaking.
"Your shaking. You having nothing to worry about young lady" he says and it eased my mind.
I let out a breath I had no idea I was holding. He opens a door that I assume to be his office.
He goes to sit at his desk with his Hands intertwined on top of his desk and looks at me as I'm standing behind the closed door.
My nerves began to act up again before he finally ushered me to take a seat in front of him.
"So Maria, a friend of mine recommended you to me and says you are a good person with an even greater work ethic"
"I have no reason to doubt her because you seem like a lovely young lady" he says and I just look at him without saying a word.
"So when can you start the job?" He asks .
"What?" I ask him in shock to make sure my ears weren't deceving me.
"When can you start the job?"He repeats.
"Anytime...today is fine"I say a little too excitedly before regaining my composure.
"You'll have to wait tables and from there we'll see how that goes" he says
"That would be great sir....thank you this means alot to me".
"The pleasure is all mine" he says rising to his feet before reaching his arm out to shake mine.
"Welcome to Perticós Valsh Maria"
"Thank you sir".
"Go home and prepare yourself today because this week you'll be an apprentice under Marcia" he says while opening his office door
"Sir would it be ok if i familiarize my self with the place today and learn a little bit against tomorrow"
"I'm starting to like you already"he says with a smile before continuing "you could do as you wish as long as you don't burn the place down".
"Thank you sir and is there a specific attire i must wear?"
"Good thinking. As a matter of fact there is. Kimberly will assist you with that".
He leads me to the uniform room and knocks on the door. The door opens to reveal a girl with black Curled hair.
"Kimberly this is Maria, she's new so assist her with the uniform" Mr. Davis
Said before he walked off.
"Hello nice to meet you Maria as you already know I'm Kimberly but you can call me kim"she says with a warm smile.
"Follow me "she says grabbing my hand into the room full of shelves with clothes in them.
In the middle end of the room next to the window there is a desk that I think belongs to her.
"So Maria tell me about you"
"Well I recently moved here and I'm twenty".
"Oh cool I'm also twenty,I'm turning twenty-one in December the twenty-fifth". What about you?"
"Well I'm turning twenty-one on Valentine's day which is basically in five months"I tell her.
"Oh! I See! your a love child your boyfriend must spoil you" she says wriggling her brows at me with a cheeky grin.
"What boyfriend" I say.
"You must have a boyfriend now don't you?"She asked clearly shocked.
" No I don't actually,I never felt like the dating type of person I've always only focused on my education".
"Shut! Up! She says clearly surprised with her mouth wide open and the chewing gum in her mouth came in view.
"No way! So are you still a virgin" she asks and my face turns crimson
"I'll take that as a yes"she says.
"So what have you been waiting for all this time? I lost mine when I was fifteen to my teacher"she says chewing her gum then popping it.
"What?! "I asked in shock
"Yeah, he was hot".
"Whatever happened to him are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm good well he got sacked and I got expelled because we were caught fucking in his classroom.
I just stood there with my hand over my mouth."Did you parents freak?".
"My dad passed long before that and my mom was never home so it was just me and my brother Nicholas".
"I'm sorry to hear that".
"Well that was ages ago and I'm over it.You know my brother Nick would love to meet you"
"That would be nice I'd pretty much like to meet him aswell ".
"Back to the rules and regulations and the uniformity of Perticós Valsh she says with a smile changing the previous topic".
"Well basically you could wear anything. Denim even as long as it is black and the red Perticós Valsh shirt and black apron "Kim says holding the shirt and apron to me.
"Cool, so do I get like a name tag or clippy thing with my name on it" I ask
"Yeah you'll probably get that tommorrow because Donovan would have to get that ready for you".

Kim takes me around and introduces me to everyone. The kitchen is spotless everything in so immaculately structured in place.
Marcia is no where in sight so I'm guessing she's super busy. I haven't seen Nicholas either.
"MARIA! There you are. I need you to meet him I just found him.
"Nick this is M-"
"Maria. I know. We met earlier" he informs Kim.
"I had know Idea you two have already been acquainted,how come you never told me" kim asked, turning to face me.
"I had no Idea Nicholas was Nick your brother.The resemblance wasn't really visible as he has blonde hair and you have black hair.
I see it now though because you both have grey eyes.
"He's a brunette don't let hair dye deceive you" she says
"Well I'll have to go now Maria enjoy you first day" she says giving me a hug before leaving me and Nicholas alone
"So how's perticós Valsh so far and congratulations by the way ?"
"Thank you and it's actually great. your sister is an intriguing individual might I say".
"Yeah, pretty much and crazy as hell too "he says and we both laugh.
"So do you want to take a walk" he asks.
"Sure why not "I say.
"Aren't you going to get penalized for skipping work? "
"No actually my shift just ended.It's almost 6pm" he informs
"What! No way! Time just flew out the door"I say clearly shocked at how fast time has gone by.
"Day shifts end by ten past six while the night shifts end at four in the morning".
