Chapter 12

Tessa's POV

After Hunter left, I stayed with Mackenzie, Sophie and Kim. I liked them. They were really nice, unlike some of the girls in the pack. Especially the unmated ones.

Around 9pm, most of the pack had left. A few men stayed behind to put everything away. So I decided to stay with them. Some women were cleaning the tables. And others were picking things off the floor. I decided to take a walk. The night breeze gave me chills. But it felt nice.

Someone walked out of the woods and stood in front of me. I walked over curiously. It was a she wolf. She seemed to be in her twenties.

"Is everything alright?" I ask her.

"No." She spits out.

"Is there anything I can do to help you?" I ask her.

"You can leave." She says as she crosses her arms.

"I'm sorry,  but have I done something to you?" I ask her.

"You stole my mate." She tells me.

"Excuse me?" I tell her confused.

"Hunter was mines before you came and ruined our lives." She says angrily.

"I am your luna, i suggest you show me some respect. And that is alpha Hunter to you." I tell her losing my patience.

"You aren't luna yet. You aren't even marked. It's been almost what? Two months? And he hasn't even tried has he? That's because he's not sure. I mean I could see why. Your weak and there's nothing attractive about you. You know he told me he likes his girls curvy and your not even close to it." She says.

"How would you know what he wants?" I ask her.

"He was my lover for many years. Until you came along and ruined everything." She tells me.

"Your lying." I say.

"Am i? Just thinking of how his body felt against mines. He's amazing in bed. So strong. That's probably why he hasn't claimed you. Which means the luna position is still open." She tells me.

"Now you want to take my spot as luna." I tell her.

"Whatever it takes." She says.

I felt so angry. My whole body was shaking in rage. I've never been so angry in my life. How dare she speak to me like that. I deserved some respect.

I kept staring at her, hoping she would feel all the pain that I'm feeling right now. And soon she fell to the ground screaming in pain. I kept my glare on her and I heard someone screaming my name.

Then someone stood in front of me and I started glaring at them. Then I realized who it was. My mate. I was angry with him too. How could he hide something like this from me.

"Get out of the way." I say not recognizing the sound of my voice.

"Tessa, you need to calm down." He tells me trying to get closer to me.

"Hunter move." I say again.

"Tessa, let's go home. Well talk there." He tells me.

"Not until she knows her place." I say.

"You can't hurt pack members. She will be punished. But not like this." He tells me.

"You can go make sure she's alright. She is your lover after all. I'm going home." I tell him and I stalk off.

I got to the house and I slammed the door shut. I was angry. I couldn't contain it. I needed to let it out. But I didn't know how.

My mate walked in and he started pacing around. He stopped and stared at me. I couldn't read his expression. But I knew he wasn't happy either.
