Chapter 10

Tessa's POV

I didn't know how to start. I felt dizzy and I didn't know if I was ready for this. Maybe I should've waited until later. But it's either now or never.

I looked at my mate and he stared at me confused and worried. Even though I told him I was fine he still didn't believe me.

I was about to say something but then my mate stood up and put his shoes back on. I stared at him confused and he went downstairs. I followed him worried.  But then he stopped.

"Tessa stay inside. Eat something and rest. You look exhausted. Healing me made you weak." He tells me. Turning away I grab his arm and he stares at me. I didn't want him to go.

"When will you be back?" I ask.

"I don't know. I'll be fine. Just rest." He tells me and then he walked out.

I sighed and I sat down on the couch. What was going on? Why did he leave in such a hurry. What wasn't he telling me.
I wanted to follow him but I would get caught as soon as I stepped a foot outside the house. Scratch that, as soon as I opened the door.

What was I supposed to do. Everytime I wanted to talk we would get interrupted. Maybe it's a sign from God that I shouldn't say anything.

I wasn't hungry and I had no strength to go upstairs. So I just laid down on the couch. I turned the tv on. And I felt my eyes drooping. I fell asleep almost instantly.

I woke up and it was getting dark outside. I looked up at the clock and it said 7pm. I was out for a really long time. And I was still tired.

I got up slowly and I sat up. My head was hurting me. My stomach started to makes sounds and I knew I should get up and make something but I honestly had no energy in me.

Why hasn't my mate come home. He's been gone for a really long time. Maybe I should go looking for him. I knew nothing was wrong with him but he needed to rest as well. He was on his death bed just yesterday.

I decided to call Regina and tell her about my gift. She'll be pleased to know that her potion is working. I domt know if I have enough strength to take the second one. I dialed her number and she picked up after a few rings.

"Tessa, how are you?" She asks me.

"I'm okay. I just wanted to tell you the good news." I tell her.

"What?" She asks.

"I know what my gift is." I tell her.

"You do? What is it?" She asks me.

"Healing." I tell her .

"That's a great gift. That's your angel side. Making things better when their bad. May I ask how it came?" She asked me.

"My mate was injured severely by silver. It would take a miracle to heal him. So something made me get up and try to do it myself. " I tell her.

"Did it work?" She asks me.

"It's like nothing happened." I tell her.

"Very impressive Tessa. But how do you feel?" She asks me.

"Very tired and weak. I hardly have any energy in me." I tell her.

"You need to start training. Get into shape. When you've gained enough strength take the next one. But I warn you each one is more powerful than the one before it. So that's why you need to be strong enough to handle it." She tells me.
