The Alpha Who Saved Me

Chapter 7

Tessa's POV

We arrived at my old pack. It was dawn. I had fallen asleep two hours ago. I looked at my mate and he seemed extremely tired. I felt bad for him.

We hadn't spoken the whole ride here. He was angry and I knew I had hurt him severely. I didn't mean anything. It killed me to even say those words to him. But he wasn't going to let go of me that easily.

My mate parked the car by the pack house and my old alpha came out. He was surprised to see us. My parents were also there. Glaring at me. Something was wrong.

We all went inside to the living room. My mate sat down on the couch and he pulled me beside him. Everyone was staring at us weirdly and then I remembered my hicky. I blushed and I put my hair to the front to cover it.

"What brings you here? It's already bad enough two of my men died because of her." Alpha Daniel says. My eyes widen in surprise.

"Who killed them?" My mate asked.

"Vampires. Not once have they crossed my land but they did because of her." Alpha Daniel says again angrily.

"What does she have to do with it?" My mate asks.

"We don't know. " the alpha says clearly lying.

"Don't lie to me." My mate says. I can feel his anger rising.

"She's bad luck. Everywhere she goes something bad happens. " My mother says.

"Don't speak like that about my mate." My mate growls at her.

"We should just tell them the truth." My father says looking at my mother.

"No. Let her suffer. " My mother says glaring at me. I felt like I was going to explore in anger.

"Tell me." My mate demanded.

"Tessa isn't our daughter." My father says.

"What?" I say in disbelief.

"How?" My mate asks.

"When she was born her mother had come to this pack. Her mother looked exactly like her. She was so young. She wasn't human but we didn't know what she was. All she said was take my daughter and she paid us a lot of money for us to take her." My father says.

"I wish we hadnt." My mother says.

"Did you look for her?" My mate asks.

"At first no. But when Tessa turned 5 something happened. She got angry out of nowhere, her body started shaking and her body was heating up. This white fire started to come out of her hands. We didn't know what to do. Then she stopped and she went back to playing. Like nothing happened. A few days later someone came. They gave me this bottle. They told me to have Tessa drink it. That it would suppress her gifts. Of course we were so scared that we gave it to her. After that her scent changed. She started smelling like a wolf. She was more calm. She was a different person. After that no one ever came." My father said.

"Why didn't you tell me this? Why did you hide this from me?" I yell at them.

"Because we had a feeling you were worth a lot. So we kept you. We took you to doctors but whatever we gave you to drink it made them all think you were just a wolf." My mother said.

"All those years I suffered. You made me your maid, you made me think I wasn't loved or important. You killed every emotion inside of me. And to make things better you threw me into a cell. I always knew I was different. I always thought something was wrong with me. But now I know. Nothings wrong with me. You are just two sick people who wanted money. I was just a child." I say and I felt my tears staining my cheeks. I was beyond angry.
