Chapter 14

Tessa's POV

I slowly opened my eyes and it was dark. My head was hurting me. Where was i? The last thing I remember was being with Hunter in our backyard.

I slowly got up and I looked around me. I was in a dark room. There was only one window which was on the ceiling. It was dark outside, but I could tell dawn was near.

My heart was beating fast. I was scared. I tried getting up but I was too weak. What happened to me? What happened to Hunter? Why was I alone? I heard footsteps coming.

The door opened and I gasped. It was Regina. Thank god. Maybe Hunter brought me here for protection. But the look on Reginas face worried me.

"Why am I here?" I ask her.

"Because I'm tired of all of your shit. I sent rogues, but nothing worked. So I decided to take matters into my own hands." She says.

"What are you talking about?" I ask her confused.

"I sent those rogues after you. I told them where you guys were. That thing I gave you guys for protection it actually made everyone find you more easily. " she says smirking.

"Why?" I ask her.

"Because I need your blood. With you by my side I'll be the most powerful witch out there." She says.

"I trusted you." I tell her.

"I know, how sad. Your so naive." She says.

"How could you betray us?" I ask her.

"Because I've been searching for you for the past 18 years. I kidnapped you from your parents and gave you away to your fake family. I knew your future. That you would end up with Hunter. So I got close to his family all these years. Gaining their trust, waiting patiently for this day to come. But I couldnt wait any longer. Especially after you mated." She tells me.

"Please don't do this." I beg her.

"Tessa, Tessa , Tessa listen. Whatever you say or do won't stop me. I've weakened you. So you can give up from right now." She tells me.

"Hunter will find me and he'll kill you." I tell her.

"Not if I kill him first." She says smirking and she left the room. She locked the door and I heard her walking away.

I started crying. I tried reaching out to Hunter but It wouldn't work. Whatever she did to me made all my gifts useless. I had to try to heal myself. Maybe I can take it out of my system.

I tried for hours, but that only exhausted me even more. I felt dizzy and hungry and tired. But I had to keep trying until Hunter came.

More time passed and I was laying on the small bed. How was I supposed to get my energy back. Regina kept bringing me food. But I refused to eat. I was scared she put something in there to weaken me more.

I stared at the ring Hunter had given me last night. It was so beautiful. I was in love with it. I can't believe he actually got me it.

I missed him, I missed his smile, his kisses and his touch. It seemed all so far away. I just wanted to be in his arms right now. To be surrounded by his scent. Please hurry Hunter. I don't think I'll be able to make it without you.

Hunters POV

I woke up around dawn, I tried moving but my body was weak. I look down at the shots in my stomach and I pulled them out. They burnt my fingers but I had to keep going.
