The hospital bed that Cassandra laid in since her checking into Seattle Grace in the middle of the night was covered in various CDs and books her brother brought her from home. Her brother was asleep in the chair in near the window and the brunette perked up when she saw her team of doctors come into her room, Derek leading them. Interns no doubt. Miranda was following and the girl squealed, trying very hard to unwrap herself from the many cords attached to her body and get out of bed.

"I'll come to you!" Miranda demanded, but it was far too late. Cassandra was out of bed and hugging the small woman, "you couldn't stay away? Just a little bit longer?"

"I think something is trying to kill me." Cassandra said, "I'm done with the chemo. I can't anymore. I'm ready." with the help of someone she got back into bed, "thanks." she whispered. She ran a hand through her thinning brunette hair and moved the CDs.

"If you're sure. Karev, go."

"Cassandra Manning, when she was eighteen she was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer has been doing chemotherapy and radiation since then. Now twenty-one and admitted last night for throwing up blood." Cassandra looked to the voice and sure the male was attractive, really attractive. But it wouldn't distract the girl.

"Cass. Don't give up. Something is bound to come of the pills, the chemo, something."

"Derek. I'm ready to die. I have ten more things on my list. I'm going to finish those things."

"You're only twenty-one. You haven't lived yet."

"Nor am I going to be able to. Cancer is kicking my ass Der."

"Have you talked to their parents."

"They're on tour again. They don't give a shit." Cassandra looked over at her brother Mason and sighed. He dropped out of the college to take care of her since their parents refused.

"I'll call Franklin myself, Cassandra. Tell him it's serious."

"Listen, Derek. You know we are used to our disappearing parents. We grew up with nannies. We don't need them here." Cassandra said bitterly, "I don't want them here. Don't call them. I only want Mason, you, and your team. Ten things."

"Ten things, sweetie." Derek kissed the top of Cassandra's head, "let's go."

"ACDC." she looked up and saw the one named Karev pointing at the CD, "it'll make you feel like a badass. Trust me. But most of the music you have surrounding you is great. They will make you feel like you're invincible."
