Voluntarily Blind

I'm voluntarily blind
I choose not to see
What's around me

I'm voluntarily mute
It's much easier to
Not mention the truth

I'm voluntarily deaf
I ignore when I hear
Mean people right here

I'm voluntarily handicapped
When I refuse to assist
Those who only feel a fist

I'm voluntarily no one
When I simply walk away
From the evil of the day

I'm voluntarily morbid
When I watch in silence
With no heart against violence

I'm voluntarily heartless
When I stare with no feeling
Though someone is bleeding

I'm voluntarily evil
I'm no better than the enemy
And no friend to the prey
