Y/N'S POV

I sent a quick text to Taylor that I had to leave. The air was starting to get colder the longer I walked home. I just couldn't stay there anymore. Okay part of it was I didn't want to do homework.

But, Lauren was making it extremely hard to stay there. It was no question that Lauren had something for me. What she had, no one knew. It was just more than a simple friendship. Although I was attracted to her, I couldn't do it. I couldn't bring her in to my fucked up life. I couldn't have her knowing my deepest secrets.

It would break her heart.

My stomach growled. Damnit I should've ate breakfast before practice. I noticed I had walked to the northern part of town, exactly where my favorite sandwich shop is. My feet probably just subconsciously led me here.

I walked in and got greetings from left and right. I knew everyone that worked here, I came in more than like once a week. "Hey Y/N! The usual?" The owner asked.

"Hey Frankie, and yes the usual please."

"Go sit down I'll bring it out." I nodded and found my usual booth empty towards the back. Taylor and Lauren had messaged me, asking where I was, but I decided to ignore the both of them. My sandwich came with my favorite side. "Fuck yaasss." I whispered under my breath.

My stomach growled again in anticipation. I dug in and I think I downed that bitch in less than five minutes. I sipped on my beverage and looked around. There was nobody really here.

Shrugging, I got up to leave. I said my goodbyes but when I walked outside and past the alley, a hand covered my mouth. Another pair of hands helped pull me further into the alley. When they got me to the end, I was thrown down onto the concrete.

"You tink you can jus' mess wid my sister like dat, foo?" A hella hood voice sounded.

"Yeah, foo, you don' mess wid us like dat." Another voice spoke before a sharp pain traveled through the back of my thigh. I groaned and kicked my leg back, successfully hitting one of the guys. The other grabbed my leg before I could drop it and pulled me across the concrete, flipping me onto my back.

He goes to throw a punch but I move my head to left, barely missing his hand. It went straight into the ground, causing him to cry out. I pushed him off of me and tried standing, but the other guy tackled me before I could get up. He placed his elbow under my chin, cutting off my airway.

I tried to grasp at his head and eyes, but I couldn't fully grab his head. I leaned up for a split second before grabbing the back of his head and digging my thumbs into his eyes. He screeched like a little bitch and pulled away.

I got out of his hold, noticing the lost knife pushed to the side. I quickly grabbed it and made slashed towards the guys, causing them to back up. "Easy, bitch." One said. Normally I don't care what people say, but I was getting extremely pissed off.

I stepped forward and brought the blade down, successfully hitting part of his chest. One cried out, falling to the ground. The last one lunched at me but I quickly sliced the blade towards him. Part of the knife cut a part of him, me not really knowing what part. He grabbed his neck.

I finally noticed that both of the guys lay there motionless. My mind immediately thought they were dead. I took the knife with me and fled the scene. What if I go to jail? Prison?

I'd lose my scholarship. Basically lose everything that ever possibly get me out of this shitty town. When I made it back to my house I finally began to panic. I hid the knife and changed my clothes, making sure that Greg wasn't home.
