Y/N'S POV

"And the final score is in favor of Miami High School, 74-63!" The announcer called out. "Please join them on their home court for the finals next Saturday."

"Good job Y/N." I felt a pat on my back. I turned back to see Taylor falling into step with me.

"Thanks, you too." I smiled, placing my arm over her shoulders. She playfully gagged and shrugged my arm off of her.

"You smell, don't put your arms up ever again." She playfully ran away from me and into the locker room. We had to hurry since it wasn't our home court and Missy wasn't in the best of moods.

Which I didn't understand why, we won.

"Girls let's go I want to go home." See. Missy walked out of the locker room leaving us to carry on like usual, not affected by her saltiness. I grabbed my clothes and headed into the shower, closing the cheap curtain thingy and quickly washing myself. Once I was done I noticed I forgot my shirt but shrugged, leaving the shower already dressed. I went to my bag to get a shirt but on the way there, someone else spoke up.

"Y/N it's been bugging me all night and I can't just not say something anymore. But you got a big ass hickey on your neck." Everyone started laughing. I shrugged, not really minding it and started laughing along with the rest of the team.

"Oh you should see my sister." Taylor smirked.

"No fucking way!" Dinah busted out laughing. She walked over and playfully grabbed me in a headlock, ruffling my hair a little bit. "You two totally did the dirty! Fucking finally!"

While everyone was cheering I rolled my eyes playfully. Missy came back into the locker room. "Hey! Let's go!" She yelled and pointed to the door. No one was fazed though.

After I got my shirt on I grabbed my bag and headed towards the door. Dinah came up behind me and threw her arm over my shoulder. She was still somewhat laughing to herself as Taylor, who was also still laughing, joined us.

The whole team walked to the bus and stepped on, still creating messing around. We took our usual spots with Taylor in front of me in the back and Dinah across the isle. It sucked that the cheerleaders had to ride with us again but I was planning on sleeping the whole way back to the high school.

"Yo dawg why is your nose all swollen? I noticed that tonight too." Dinah leaned over my shoulder. I looked around to make sure no one was listening or watching. I motioned for Dinah to lean closer so I didn't have to yell or anything. "Greg sent someone to hurt me." I spoke lowly.

"What?!" Dinah shouted. The girls all looked back at us but I waved them off. "Y/N what the fuck."

"Look I don't want you to freak out like Lauren did because I wasn't the best at comforting her." I cringed at the memory.

"Yeah I'm sure I know how that turned out." Dinah rolled her eyes. "You're not good with words at all. Actually, I think all you're good at is basketball, you dumb jock." She laughed.

"Thanks." I deadpanned, rolling my eyes.

"What'd you freak Lauren out about now?"

"She was saying how she wasn't going to do the competition anymore so I told her it was her dream. Then she said it wasn't her dream if I wasn't there and I told her I'd be there in spirit and yeah."
