Chapter 21

LAUREN'S POV

Y/N and I were cuddled up as we sat on the bed of her truck. After what seemed like hours, Dinah finally showed up in Mani's car. Y/N pulled away so she could go talk to Dinah.

She jumped from the bed and held out a hand to help me down. Once we were both off Y/N closed the back and we made our way to Dinah. "Jesus Christ how did you guys survive this?" Dinah shivered. "It's fucking freezing!"

"We'd be fine if someone wasn't too busy fucking their girlfriend." Y/N smiled sarcastically.

"Hey you better chill your ass because I could just leave you guys here without picking the lock."

"My ass is already frozen thank you."

"Guys can we just get out of here?" I broke up their bickering. They both turned to me and nodded. Dinah went to the driver's side and worked her magic, effectively picking the lock.

"Thanks." Y/N went to go hug Dinah but Dinah pushed her away.

"I don't want you hugging me when you're soaking wet." Dinah made a disgusted face causing me to giggle. Y/N turned and smiled at me.

"Want to get out of here?" She asked. I nodded and we both got into the truck and followed Dinah back to the hotel we were staying at. When we were safely in our room Y/N spoke up. "You can take a shower first if you want."

"I'm not the one that's soaked." I giggled. Y/N looked at her appearance with a chuckle.

"Yeah, okay." She grabbed a change of clothes before disappearing behind the bathroom door. I took Y/N's windbreaker off, thankful it left me dry.

I just grabbed a different pair of sweats and changed into them real quick. Once I was done I went to go lay on my bed and turn the TV on. There was nothing to watch so I was basically channel surfing. I had music playing softly from my phone as I turned off the TV after I couldn't find anything to watch.

After about fifteen minutes, Y/N came out of the bathroom... without a shirt on again. I swear this girl is going to be the death of me. She put her dirty clothes away and instantly ran to my bed, jumping on it and bringing me closer causing me to giggle.

We eventually situated ourselves to where Y/N had her head resting on my chest with her arms wrapped around my waist. I placed my hand on the back of her head and started softly scratching. "Mm that feels good." Y/N mumbled. I could feel her smile and that made me feel giddy inside.

"You know, now that you're finally letting me in a little bit I realized you're not as tough as you seem." Y/N looked up at me confusedly at my words. "You're actually just a big teddy bear."

A smile made its way across Y/N's lips. "Oh really?" She raised an eyebrow playfully.

No words could explain how incredibly happy I was with the amount of change Y/N has gone through in such a short amount of time. I couldn't help it, my pride was boosted because I felt like I was the reason for her positive change and that made me feel great.

"Really." I giggled.

"Nah uh, I'm badass." She scoffed, laying her head back down on my chest.

"Whatever you say babe."

"Hmm, I like when you call me babe."
