Chapter 25

LAUREN'S POV

"Lauren wake up." Y/N whispered as she placed butterfly kisses all over my face. I mumbled some incoherent words before turning away from Y/N.

"Come on Laur, we're already behind schedule. We have to start heading home." I groaned but kept my eyes closed, still unbelievingly tired. I couldn't even keep my eyes open.

Y/N pecked my temple before I felt the bed shifting. I could tell she was shuffling around the room but I was too tried to care right now. Y/N moved about the room until the sound of the door closing ended all noise around the room.

I was about ready to fall back asleep when Y/N returned about ten minutes later. She shuffled around the room for a little bit again before she came to hover over me. I opened one of my eyes to see her looking down at me with a smile.

"Come on babe." My heart fluttered at the simple name and I had to turn my head again so Y/N wouldn't see my blush. "We have to go."

I felt myself being lifted into Y/N's arms bridal style. I looked up at her after wrapping my arms around her neck. She smiled down at me again before pecking my lips. "I know you're still tried so you can sleep on the way back." She said.

I nodded and laid my head on her shoulder, closing my eyes again. I reveled in the warm feeling I got whenever I was even near Y/N, let alone when I was in her arms. It was somewhere I wanted to stay for the rest of my life. A subconscious smile made its way onto my face.

When we got outside it was absolutely freezing and being in only my pajamas, I instantly shivered. Y/N aww'd a little bit and adjusted her arms a little bit so they were covering me more.

We got to her truck pretty quick though and Y/N helped me sit down on the passenger's seat. When she shut the door I leaned my head against it but I couldn't get comfortable again. Y/N got into the driver's seat and started up the truck, taking off after Dinah and Normani.

"Can I lay down on your lap?" I asked tiredly. Y/N looked over questioningly as she hesitated to answer.

"Uh sure." She finally said. I instantly laid my head down on her thigh and shifted myself into a comfortable position.

Y/N turned the music down before moving her hand to my head and softly scratching my scalp. I let out a mix of a moan and a purring sound but I think Y/N took it the wrong way because she took her hand off of my head.

Before she could speak up or anything I grabbed her hand and put it on my head again, silently telling her to continue her actions. I heard her light chuckle sound throughout the truck. The movement of her hand continued sending me into another deep sleep.

"Lauren wake up we're going to eat." Y/N brushed the hair out of my face. I opened my eyes, immediately shutting them and rubbing the sleep out of them before fully waking up.

I sat up to see us parked outside of a small diner with Dinah and Normani already waiting for us. I nodded my head and both Y/N and I stepped out of the truck so we could follow the couple into the diner. The waitress lead us to our booth with Normani and I on the inside with our girlfriends on the outside. I sighed as I leaned my head on my propped up elbow.

Normani turned to me with a raised eyebrow. "You okay Laur? You seem tired." She commented. I nodded my head but before I could speak up Dinah cut me off.
