School dragged by the rest of the week, but finally the last bell rang on Friday.
I walked out of the classroom with Luke. I was meeting his parents and he was probably going to stay at my house for the night.
"What if they hate me?" I stressed as we got in his car. He had picked me up this morning as well.
"I can guarantee you they won't hate you." He told me.
He didn't seem to be nervous at all, so I tried to relax, though it was really difficult.
"Okay." I sighed.
We got to his house pretty quick and he laced his fingers with mine.
-Luke's POV-
I smiled as I grabbed Ashton's hand, leading him into my house.
"Mom!? Dad!?" I called when I closed the door.
I walked into the living room, where my parents were sitting.
"Guys, this is Ashton." I introduced them.
They both got up and smiled.
"Hello, Ashton." My mom warmly greeted him, pulling him in for a hug.
He smiled.
"Hey, Ashton. How are you?" My dad asked, shaking his hand.
"I'm good, how are you?" He replied. He seemed nervous, so I laced my fingers with his again.
"Only for show." I reminded myself.
"You two are cute." My mom commented.
Ashton and I both smiled and thanked her.
It surprised me how fast I could make a smile appear on my face when she said that, as our "relationship" didn't really make me smile. I hadn't even realized that I was smiling for a moment.
I sat on the couch and pulled Ash down to cuddle into my side.
"Where are Ben and Jack?" I wondered as I absentmindedly played with Ashton's fingers.
"They'll be home soon. They went to the store for candy and cupcakes." My dad informed me. I nodded.
I looked at Ashton and smiled.
He smiled back and cuddled closer into my side, sighing a little.
I only had to keep this "relationship" up for twenty six more days.
My phone started to ring and I answered it, standing up and going outside.
"Michael?"
"Hey Luke. How's the relationship?" He questioned.
"Actually, it isn't as terrible as I thought it'd be." I admitted.
"Do you like him?"
"Nah." I replied.
"I heard that you yelled at some people that kept picking on him." He mentioned.
"Yeah, I did." I responded.
"Why?"
I glanced around before saying anything.
"For show, of course. What kind of boyfriend doesn't stand up for their boyfriend?" I laughed.
"One that's only dating him as a dare." He stated, adding a small giggle.
"Eh."
"Okay, anyway, what are you doing tonight?" He asked me.
