"Guys! There's someone on the street! We need to help him!" I shouted to my friends as I started running towards the guy laying there. They ran to me and joined me in the middle of the park. We sprinted together the rest of the way till we arrived next to the man. He looked like he was about twenty or twenty-five. Pieces of his broken phone were spread around him. He was lying on his stomach so I gently turned him over and saw a big bloodied wound on the man's head. I put two fingers on the side of his neck but felt nothing.

"Will give me your phone!" I shouted at him.

"Don't worry I'll call," he said.

"Gimme your freaking phone now!" I reiterated.

He gave me his phone with a face that seemed to mean like 'What the heck dude'.

Then I put the phone under the man's nose.

"What are you doing?" Mia asked me.

"Trying to see if he's still breathing. Saw people on TV shows doing this."

"You could have taken one of the pieces of glass from the guy's broken phone," Will mumbled.

Not caring, I kept looking on the black screen until I saw that a small spot on the screen was fogged. He was alive! But barely breathing.

"We don't have time to call the ambulance, it'd take them too much time to get here. I suggest we put him in the car and make our way really fast to the hospital." I told them.

They both nodded and took the man's feet and hands. Then they lifted him up and I ran to open the back seat door of Will's car. Once they settled the man on the seat, I entered the back with the unconscious man. I placed his head on my lap and put my hand under his nose to check if he was still breathing. Will ran to the driver's seat and Mia to the passenger seat. In no time, we were on the road heading towards the town. I looked at the woods on the side of the road a while, then finally back at the man. He had light brown hair and one of the cutest face I've ever seen. He was handsome and, oh God, his lips looked so delicious. It was so intense that I wanted to kiss him right then, which was a weird feeling. I lifted my head to look outside to stop thinking about that beautiful mouth.

When we arrived at the limit of the town, Will turned right into the parking of the hospital... only to find it full. There were so many cars that many had to be parked on the streets around the building. Two details hit me when I looked at the hospital. First, there were cars parked right in front of the entrance where the sign 'no parking' was placed. They should have been moved right away by a tow when an employee saw them there. Which leads to the second detail; there was nobody outside the hospital or in front of the entrance. Not a soul.

"Guys... is it normal that there's no one in sight?" Mia asked.

"I don't think it is," I answered.

"Something's wrong," Will added.

"Still we've got to take the man in the hospital. He really needs some medical attention. It's getting harder to feel his breath." I said.

"Yeah ok," they both answered. As they were about to exit the car, we heard a loud gargling sound that seemed to be coming from the guy's stomach. Then he opened his eyes that had the exact same colour as his hair and his breath got steady in a second. His pupils were heavily dilated and he had a crazy look in his eyes. Before I could understand what was happening, the man was biting hard into my hand. I felt a strong pain as his teeth sunk into my flesh. I yanked my hand away and then tried to push the guy away from me. My vision was blurry and I didn't know what was happening. I remember seeing Will pull the guy outside the car seat and Mia taking my arm and pushing me out of the car on the other side. I remember the pain. I couldn't concentrate on anything else. Will told me later after this episode that while I was crying in the foetal position on the ground, the man started growling like a wild animal and hissed at him as he got up. He even swore to me that the guy seemed to be hissing a word that sounded a lot like 'hungry'. When he started running towards Will, Mia hit the crazy man with a hammer at the back of his head. There was a loud crack and he fell to the ground. The open wound was spilling so much blood that it made a pool from it. When Will told me about this moment, he added that he hadn't been able to help it but thought FIRST BLOOD in his head when the guy died.
