Chapter Three

A/N: Here ya go people! I know this one is short but it's also the last part in the First Blood opening... WHICH MEANS THE REAL HOTTIE'S COMING IT'S WAY!!! just not in this chapter yet ._. sorry ;-)

I stood up but quickly sat down when I felt a little dizzy. My eyelids suddenly felt heavy and I just wanted to sleep. "I'm tired. Can we get back to the car now so I can crawl to sleep?" I asked hopefully.

"Nate... I'd really feel safer if you try and not fall asleep. 'Cause as far as we know, it seems like those people had their behaviors triggered when they fell sleep. It'd definitely be safer to keep you awake until we know more." Will said.

"And how long would that be?" I asked yawning loudly.

"I'd say at least 24 hours-" he begun.

"A WHOLE DAY???" I shouted. "Dude, what the heck? I'm barely staying awake and I didn't sleep much last night, but you expect me to stay up a whole freaking day? Are you on something bro?" I asked him.

"He could stay awake a few hours until he can't take it no more, what do you think about this?" Mia asked her boyfriend for my sake.

"Yeah okay," he agreed. "Where should we go anyway?"

"Since we're in town," I started, "we could go check on my little siblings if they're okay. Then we could go to check on Mia's parents and finally go back to Will's place. We'll get back at what, 4:30 PM. Will's mom should be home by then." I didn't add what we were all thinking; if she hasn't been changed into one of those monsters.

"I'm in," Mia said.

"Okay, me too," Will nodded. "Let's go guys!"

When I tried to get back on my feet, I would have fell if it wasn't for Mia who held me up. She put my arm on her shoulders and we slowly begun walking. At first I had to put almost all my weight on her to be able to walk. But as we passed the door and arrived in the corridor that was leading to the waiting room, I could almost move by myself. William had taken back the hammer that he had put into the backpack was leading us back to the entrance. We made it to the car without being attacked again. I sat in the back of the car where I decided to lay down.

"My siblings are living in an apartment building facing the High School with their dad." I told Will who was sitting in the driver's seat.

"I remember. It's close to Mia's house." he added.

"In fact it's on our way," Mia told us.

Will started the engine and drove the car out of the driveway. I felt myself relaxing when the hospital disappeared from my sight. I guess we were all tensed up with this place. I was scared that whatever was happening to everyone right now would have got my siblings. I tried to keep the thoughts away without much success. I didn't really felt like sleeping anymore.

"Willy, what happened to you when you walked into that door back at the hospital? 'Cause you appeared with a backpack and said you had killed three time now," Mia asked. I was curious about that backpack too. I sat up a little, ready to hear what he would say.

"One of them had a backpack on her and when I killed her, I just thought it might get handy when it comes at bringing the medical stuff back. When I saw her she was eating someone who was still alive. I could hear the guy cry in pain. It was horrible to watch but a lot worse to hear him. So I hit the girl on her neck. She hadn't even noticed I was there. Then I tried to help the guy but he was barely breathing and he had lost too much blood from the left side of his torso and leg that the girl had been chewing. So I went to take the morphine and I shot him with almost ten grams. He stopped breathing fifteen seconds after that."
