"So, what are we gonna do today?" Jamie asked me after a moment of only me eating.

"Ashley and I need things from our house to stay here permanently and I thought of going to the grocery store and take everything we can for some time," I suggested.

"We could go to your house together then stop in a grocery store on our way back here."

"Ok, I'll ask later Ashley to make me a list of what she want me to take for her. Or if she just wants to come with us."

He nodded.

When I stood up to go put my bowl in the sink I heard a small sound of something falling on the floor. I looked down and I saw my iPod that had stayed in my jeans for the night. I took it and unlocked it. I sat back down on the chair and opened Facebook like I did yesterday. This time no one was connected so I close the app. I navigated through all my social media without any results until I opened Text+. I had three messages from Jenna, my friend that I was hanging with the most at school. I felt ashamed that I hadn't checked sooner if she was alright.

"I saw you were connected on Facebook two hours ago, so if you see this call me, please," her first message said.

"I need help and I don't know what to do, call me!" the second message read.

"I know it's stupid to keep texting you since it seems that you don't get my messages but even though I survived the night I still need help. Call me please."

I lifted my eyes back at my friend who was watching me for almost a minute. "Do you have a cell phone?" I asked him.

"Yeah, but I left it at home, sorry," he said. "I think I saw a telephone in the living room near the TV. You should go check it out."

"Yeah, thanks," I smiled at him.

I jumped on my feet and jogged to the living room. I spotted the phone and took it. I composed Jenna's number and waited. I almost hung up before she answered because the phone kept ringing for almost a whole minute.

"Hello?" I heard her familiar voice on the line.

"Hey Jenna!" I said.

"Thank goodness!" she exclaimed. "I texted so many people to find someone still alive."

"I am. You seemed to need help, am I right?" I asked.

"Oh, yes, well I'm stuck in my bathroom and I can't get out because my parents and my sister are trying to kill me. They're not themselves. But I guessed that I wasn't the only one with this problem since no one was even connected on any social media. Can you help me get out of here?" she asked hopefully.

"Yeah, I'll bring somebody with me and we'll get you out. Stay hidden in the bathroom. I'll call you when I'm on my way, is that ok with you?"

"Ok, I'll wait here. Just hurry please."

"Don't worry, Jen, you'll be just fine. Ok call you back soon."

"Bye, and thank you so much," she said.

I smiled even though she could not see it. "That's what friends are for. Bye," I said. I hung up and turned to Jamie. "Would you mind if we go to Jenna's house right now?" I asked him.

"No, it would be ok."

"Great 'cause I can't drive so let's go!"

"Wait, I'm driving?" he asked.
