"Why are you both looking at me like creeps?" I gave them a look.

"For no reason," Mia answered. Will chuckled as she giggled.

"Seriously, what is wrong with you?"

"It was the first time!" Mia burst. She quickly threw her hands over her mouth.

"First time of what?" I asked more and more puzzled by those two.

Will sighed heavily. "You're so dumb sometimes. Actually all the time, but never mind," he said with a wink. "It was the first time you talked to him on the phone," he added.

"Ohhh!" I said as I understood what they meant. "But you do know that I got over him months ago, don't you?"

"Yeah, right!" Mia snorted.

"I'm being serious. And anyway we now have the proof that he's straight..." I purposely left out the important information just so they would ask me. And they did!

"What do you mean by 'we now have the proof'?" Will asked, insisting on the word 'now'.

"He went out with Sarah, before she changed into one of the monsters."

"WHAT?" both of them cried at the same time.

"Haven't she said many times she had no interest in him?" Mia asked, dumbfounded.

"Well yeah but it doesn't matter. I've been over him for months so!" I told them again. At least, I got over him right now. To be honest, it was really liberating to learn the answer of a question that you've been wondering about for years. It made everything simpler. "Anyway, this is not what I wanted to tell you about. I suggested to-"

"We know, Nate, we heard you when you made your suggestion." Mia cut me. "It's a good idea and I think we could call every number we have so we can see how many answer and then go looking for them."

"Do you think we'll have enough room for many more people?" Will asked, looking at Mia.

"There's Jamie's house that we can use too. It's not even a whole minute away so we can easily divide between the two houses if there are too many people that are gonna join us," I suggested.

"We should ask Jamie about that, but yeah, that'd make more room. And we could even use the living room in each house as more place to sleep if we need to." Will said. "We just have to find a way to get food, at least enough for us when we'll get through my parent's provision."

"We can go get the food at groceries stores. It's not like stealing food will get us in trouble." Mia laughed at her poor joke.

"Okay, sounds like a plan," I said, clapping my hands together with a big smile on my face. "Now the only thing to do is to wait for them to call back so we can all decide what's gonna happen."

As if on a cue, Mia's phone started ringing. I picked it up and answered with a 'wassup'.

"I hope I didn't disturbed your conversation." Jamie answered.

"No, actually we were just finished," I told him.

"I know that's why I called." It surprised me. What did he mean?

"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"Nothing!" he said, obviously supressing a laugh.

"What the-" I started but then the door of the bedroom burst open and a watered-eyed Ashley ran towards me, arms open. She crashed to me and we fell on the bed, her body on top of mine, hugging me like the world was ending. I don't know what was surprising me the most. Was it the fact that Ashley NEVER hugged me on her own accord before or maybe it was the fact that Jamie was leaning on the doorframe, smiling at me, looking as if he was glad to see me? I couldn't tell. In fact, I'd say that both answers were as surprising as the other.
