Sixteen

Rayne POV

I had stormed downstairs to the basement. I immediately grab my bag and start packing.

In the middle of my packing I hear loud thumping and someone scream Jarred's name.

Probably his mom.

Not only seconds later, loud footsteps pound down the stairs.

" Rayne!"

Great...

Not only do I have to deal with my wolf yelling at me but Alpha Hudson, too?

" What did you do?!"

I pretty much ignored the question.

" I'm going back to my pack. You can come get me when you get the paint." I said, putting my last item in my bag and zipping it up.

Luna Katrina came rushing down stairs.

" Rayne, Jarred went on a rampage. What happened between you two?!"

" Nothing really out of the ordinary. We just saw things differently. Like we always do." I said, hoisting my bag over my shoulder.

" What are you talking about." Alpha Hudson asked.

" Nothing. If I told it'll only make matters worse. I'll be out of your hairs." I sighed.

I walked past the both of them and whistled loudly. Shades came from around the corner but slowly, slower than usual not slow slow but not that fast. Shadow was right behind her.

" Come on, Shades, we're leaving."

Shades whimpered and sat down. I sighed as Shadow sat with her.

" Rayne, you do not get to come and go as you please!"

" I'm doing that now. As soon as Shades gets up, we'll be well on our way."

Alpha Hudson growled at me and Luna Katrina tried calming him down.

" I'm not wanted here, by anyone. So I'm telling you, I will leave and come back when you get the paint. Simple as that."

" Who said they didn't want you here?"

" Does it matter? I'm leaving."

Shadow barked and Shades barked.

" What is it?" I asked, looking at Shades.

I noticed that Shades has gotten fatter than the last time I saw her.

" What have you guys been feeding her?" I asked.

" The same dog food we feed Shadow. Shades eats more though." Luna Katrina said.

" She's bigger." I said.

We'll have to exercise it off.

" Shades is fine. Where talking about you." Hudson growled.

" Stop growling at me! You aren't even my Alpha so calm yourself down!" I snapped, immediately regretting it.

Alpha Hudson growled more and walked towards me. Once he was close to my face and growled again.
