"How's Emily?" Rayne asked, worried.
"She's getting there. She'll be fine. She's started eating and talking again. So that's good." Jace said.
Rayne, Jace and I were all in the waiting room of the infirmary.
"That is good. Can I see her?" She asked.
Jace nodded and stepped aside. When She disappeared behind the door, Jace looked at me with a sly look.
"What are you staring at?"
"You, you sly dog." Jace smirked.
"What are you talking about?"
"Of course you can't tell because you are used to hers and your scent."
I still looked at him like he's dumb.
"You...and her..."
Realization hit me in the face when I realized what he was talking about.
"Your scent is all over her. And you, you smell a bit like her."
"Yes, that is the case."
"Bro, congrats."
I was a bit shocked at his genuine tone.
"Don't look so surprised, Jarred. Just because we've never had that brother-brother bond, I'm not that bad."
"You kidnapped me and tortured me."
"Yeah, I did, but I'm good now. I hope you are, too."
I was still shocked.
He actually cares?
"I hope your children have a better relationship than we did. I know I can't fix nor change what I've done but I would really like to start over and actually get to know my younger brother."
"Yeah, sure. One day."
He nodded and smiled.
I know some people might think I'm a complete crazy person for forgiving my brother but honestly I want to have a brotherly bond. All my life I thought I was an only child and to find out at my age now that I've got a brother five years older, I was going to connect with him.
"OMG RAYNE!!!" We heard Emily scream.
We rushed into the room to find Rayne squeezed up in Emily's arms.
"I am so happy for you!!!"
Emily was beaming, back to her old self. Emily noticed Jace and I in the door way and glares at me.
"If you so much as think about hurting Rayne, don't plan on living another day." She grit.
I nodded and smiled.
"Of course, I never intend on hurting Rayne. Not now not ever."
"Awe, you're babies are gonna be so cute!!"
Rayne blushed and was shocked at the same time.
"Babies??"
"You were planning on having Cubs, right?" Jace asked.
I smiled at Rayne and she blushes more.
"You were planning that right?" Emily asked.
"I don't have any comment towards that question."
I raises an eyebrow.
"Well, if we do or not, I will love you anyway."
She smiled at me and looked back at Emily.
