Chapter 11

McKenzy's POV

Waking up on Monday morning was painful, mainly because me and Kendrick had stayed up late last night talking bout random stuff. Over these past months we had really grown a love for each other. We weren't in love or anything but we definitely had something. I got up turning the shower on. While waiting for the water to heat up I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Turning on my morning music I got in the shower to wash up.

Heading downstairs I made a quick breakfast bowl of cereal. Second semester had began and I was beyond ready for summer. It seemed time was just passing me by Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years had passed me by and it was slowly approaching Valentine's Day. I wasn't really sure what I want to do for Kendrick but I knew he had something planned.

Hearing the doorbell ring I got up to answer it. There he stood wit a pink T-shirt and light blue jeans on and a pair of all white nikes. I let my eyes travel all over him before looking into his light brown eyes.

"Wassup bunny"he said pushing us inside and wrapping his arms around me. I couldn't help but to take in his arousing sent.

"Eating breakfast"

"You cooked?"

"If cereal and cutting up fruit is considered cooking then yes"I said sarcastically.

"You always got some smart shit to say"

"I do huh?"I retorted as he stale faced me and then gave me a smirk.

"Yeah keep playing with me I'll make us late for school and I know your mom isn't here" he said coming closer to me and eating the fruit I was about to eat out of my hand.

We hadn't really been doing anything sexual besides kissing and touching. I wouldn't say I was ready but I couldn't deny the feelings he gave me. And it didn't take much and that smirk always got me.

"We can't be late Mr. Stewart"I said getting up from the table and putting away the leftover fruit.

"Yeah ight"he said smacking my butt before walking to the door. We got into his car and headed to school.

As usual we parked in the student parking lot and made our way towards the building I got a few heys from girls that I knew. Opening my locker I noticed a note fell out onto my shoes. Looking over it, it read:

Don't think I've given up that easily baby girl, I'm always watching you and we ain't finished yet. I'll see you soon.

Crumpling up the note, I put it in my pocket before I saw Ken walk over to me.

"What was that fell out of your locker?"he said staring down at me.

"Oh nothing just a silly note Jace left me"I said chuckling as he looked at me suspiciously. Kendrick always had a way of reading me in a way that nobody else could. He just shrugged his shoulders. I knew he wanted to question me but I guess he decided to let it go.

"Okay well come on before were late the bell already rung"he said and I noticed that everyone was of course walking go class and we were still standing here.

"Yeah"I said as he grabbed my hand.

Waiting on Jace and Max, we sat in the car. We were about to head to the dominoes around the corner for some pizza. We had already order so we were just waiting. The day was almost over and I was happy. I hadn't crossed paths with Shawn so I was glad for that but I knew it would happen soon. Ken hadn't asked me anything about the note or to see it and I was also happy about that. I wasn't typically afraid of Shawn but lately I was definitely on edge with what had happened at Ken's mothers birthday.

"I'm hungry as hell"Ken said laying his head on the head rest. Before I could say anything else I saw Jace and Max wallking towards the car. "Bout damn time"he said pulling out of the parking lot.

"Oh shut up wit yo grumpy self"Jace said nudging his shoulder.

Arriving at the dominoes, we sat at a table near the back and Ken and Max got up to check on the pizza. I decided to tell Jace about the note because she was best friend and I could trust her with anything.

"I got some shit to tell you"I said as she snapped her head in my direction.

"Did y'all do it? I peeped you walking funny this morning but I didn't want to say anything cause I know you get embarrassed fast"she said rambling on.

"No we haven't dont anything yet and its serious"I said as she frowned.

"Well what is it?"

"When I opened my locker this morning I found a note"

"From who and what did it say"she said as I pulled it out of my pocket and handed it to. Her eyes scanned over it quickly before she gasped. "Oh my god sweetheart, I got something to tell you then"she said picking at her fingernails.

"What?"

"Shawn kind of showed up at my house about a week ago asking me all these questions about you and threatening you and Ken"she said looking down.

"Why the hell you didn't tell me this. Does Max even know?"

"I haven't told anybody. I was scared as hell he was trying to barge into the house but I pulled the bat out for his crazy ass"she said. One day one of Jace's moms ex boyfriends popped up at the house high ass shit off of drugs and went on a rage throughout the house, so now they keep a bat by the door just incase he shows up. "He was saying shit bout had you and Kendrick fucked yet and were you serious with him. I said hell yes-"

"Wait bitch you told him we were fucking!"I whisper yelled at her pulling her by her shirt.

"Woahhh bitch chill in here"she said as I released her.

"Why would you tell him that oh my god Jace"I said putting my head in my hands.

"I thought it would make him realize its over and its time for him to move on. He kept saying how you were his first and that will never change no matter what nigga you with and how Ken is gonna learn not to fuck with what was his and just crazy shit. Then I grabbed the bat and swong it at his ass but he ducked and backed away from the porch. He got back on his car and yelled bitch out the window before he took off down the road. I'm sorry but he wouldn't stop going on and on about how nobody gonna love you like him and you were gonna see one day"she said with a sigh.

"Oh my god. he's officially gone nut crazy"I said as Ken and Max came back to the table with the pizza.

"What y'all ladies talking bout"Max said letting Ken into the booth to sit across from me as he gave me a suspicious look. I knew he knew we were talking about the note. I was afraid to involve him anything dealing with Shawn because it was something and someone that I wanted to leave in the past.

"Oh nothing girl stuff that's none of your business"Jace said as we began to dig into the pizza. And for some odd reason I had lost my appetite so I ate 2 slices and sat back as the three of them conversed amongst themselves. I was too lost in my thoughts. I was afraid Shawn was gonna show up at my house or stalk me around school trying to find me alone.
