McKenzy:
Time seems to always fly by me. It was already a week before Christmas and I hadn't done any shopping. I wasn't too excited for the holidays this year though. Shawn had completely wiped all holiday spirit from me. School had just let out and I was glad I didn't have to look in any bodies face especially his. He had been constantly trying to talk to me whether it was in class or outside of school, but Kendrick seemed to be around most of the time so he would just turn away. I was greatful because he was the last person I wanted to talk to let alone see. I had finally blocked his number and cut off every piece of him including pictures, any clothes, shoes, or hats that belonged to him. I was finally starting to forgive and forget. And I had to give all thanks to Kendrick. He was an all around great guy. Smart, funny, charming, and had a big heart. He honestly made me see things in myself that I never knew. He brought the best out of me and I loved it. He was always there when I needed him. Having him there really made things easier for me. We would talk for hours and hours a day about everything under the sun. We connected on so many other levels than I could ever imagine. With Shawn it seemed like we always did and talk about the same old stuff. Being with Kendrick was a true adventure and he always kept me smiling. Even though we had only known each other for 3 months I was beginning to really like him. He was a cutey and finnneeee as hell, but I was in no rush to get in another relationship. He just gave me that giggly feeling and I was beginning to have a crush.
My moms all seemed to be coping well and we had a understanding. They were always around when I needed to have a woman to woman talk so I appreciated that. My dad on the other hand was still mad as hell about it and every time I came around he would talk about whooping his ass. It was kind of funny because I knew he was dead serious about it. My dad and Shawn were cool with each other, but he always seemed uncomfortable because my dad would always say 'my daughter is my life and if you ever hurt her that's yo life' and every time he said that Shawn looked like he would shit his pants slowly with every word. I would just laugh it off.
Jace and Max were stuck together like glue. It was cute to see them together. Jace was always a tough girl so to see her vulnerable and letting her guards down made me happy. Max was a great guy and him and Kendrick seemed to get along well. They had a lot of things in common and I was glad that he had found a friend. He was just something special. Currently I was staring up at my ceiling debating on going to do some shopping because I knew the mall was going to be full of people. I got up huffing and going to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I looked at my hair debating on if I should straighten it or leave it in its natural waves. I decided to leave it in the waves and left out the bathroom. I went into my closet picturing wat I wanted to wear. It was kind of chilly outside so I decided on a light sweater and a pair of jeans with my brown ankle boots. I went back into my room taking out a pair of panties and matching bra. I hated wearing wired bras, they were so uncomfortable to me. But anyway, I finished getting dressed and went downstairs. My mom was in the kitchen dressed in her work uniform. I went in the cabinet and grabbed a bag of chips to snack on until I got something else to eat. My phone vibrated on the table and it was a message from Kendrick asking what I was doing. I replied that I was about to leave and go to the mall. He said that he wanted to go and he'll be over in 10 minutes. My mom cleared her throat.
" Who you texting like that your cheeks should be burning from all that smiling" she said I rolled my eyes at her.
" A friend of mines" I said.
" What's his name" she said giving me a smirk. I looked up at her like 'how did you know I was texting a boy' and laughed.
" A boy named Kendrick he lives across the street" I said.
" Oh the Stewarts son, he's cute bunny" she said giving me a thumbs up. I laughed at her. Me and my mom always though alike.
" Where you going today" she asked being noisy as always.
