I jumped from Draioct's back and collided with the Queen, her barely blocking my spears hack, Draioct and her dragon Volaris rolling off into the distance. I could hear the men screaming as they were crushed beneath the tow dragon's massive weight.

She let out a small grunt as I followed through with a kick, catching her in the stomach and putting some distance between us. As I had suspected she followed through with a blade of fire, the heat hurting my skin as I barely stepped out of the way.

"I was wondering how long it would take to draw you out of you little base."

She smirked as she sent a third attack of flame causing me to raise a small wall of earth to avoid it, she seized the moment of blindness and ran around one side of the wall, almost catching me with her sword in surprise.

"This ends today Vadoris! You will pay for all the pain you have caused this Kingdom."

Again she smirked, her face revealing her true nature, her soul slimy and rotting, no remorse to be found. It pissed me off. I went on the offensive and shot a bolt of electricity at her smirking face, the bolt barely missing her as she side stepped the element. Her men began giving us room as the two of us battled one on one, her men taunting and yelling as we fought.

Draioct slashed hard at Volaris, his size being just slightly smaller, his talons finding their mark and digging deep into the underside of his scales. Volaris breathed a hot beam of plasma, Draioct meeting it in the middle with water and defusing it in a stalemate. Volaris turned his head and the plasma flame melted a few nearby enemy forces, their screams piercing the air.

As Draioct dug his claws in to the Queens dragon she winced slightly, it left her open for an attack and she was distracted. I reached inward to Draioct.

"I forgot they share each other's pain. Coordinate our attacks, when I hurt her slightly you attack and when you hurt Volaris, I will attack"

"Sounds like a plan, I will make an attempt on Volaris now, be ready to strike."

Draioct flapped his wings hard and launched himself in the air about twenty feet before diving down again at Volaris, the fire dragon tried to roll away but was a second too late and got caught by the larger black dragon. He screamed as Draioct smashed down hard on his back leg, a popping sound coming from the joint and its angle becoming irregular.

The Queen had been midway through a sideways slash when her dragon was injured, he eyes very quickly glancing his way, breaking her focus on her attack. I seized the lapse in concentration she faced and brought my spear upward catching her wrist with the round portion of my spear, the blade flying from her hands and disappearing into the sea of soldiers. She let out a large gasp at her mistake, her eyes becoming angry, the hatred so powerful I could feel it.

Off to the side I could hear the armies of Retribution coming in as backup, I could hear Eulay and Jack shouting orders as they stormed valiantly into battle.

The Queen took a few steps backward trying to regain her composure from losing her weapon, I took the opportunity to launch a bolt of lightning. It just barely caught her shoulder, sparking and causing her to yell in pain. I alerted Draioct and he seized the opportunity to care another piece out of her dragon's hide, which again caused her to wince.

The forces of Retribution surprisingly began gaining the upper hand in the battle, their forces outnumber us three to one but we were better trained. The hours spent training and equipping everyone was beginning to pay off. Eulay and Jack were cutting through the heart of the enemy forces, desperately trying to make their way to us. Eulay battling fiercely, the strength of her character and skill apparent.
