I was beginning to doze off on the couch when I heard a quiet knock on the wall. I sat up and turned to see Eulay standing on the edge of my balcony, she had crossed over from her room, which shared the same balcony as mine.

I lost my breath at the sight of her. Her thin frame draped in a long white dress, its ends blowing slightly in the wind, rising and falling with the gusts. She smiled softly at my awe. It was as if a heavenly being had decided to leave their place of wonder and grace me with her presence.

"What do you think of my dress?"

She gave me a playful smile almost as if she knew how tremendously pretty she was. The last rays of light dancing off her white dress like a precious gem. I stood up and made my way closer, my heart racing as the distance between us shrank each step seemingly suspended in time.

"It is beautiful, YOU look beautiful."

She blushed as we met in an embrace at the entrance. My heart thumping out of my chest, something that had become normal around Eulay. Draioct and Aisling stood on the balcony watching and nudging one another in a somewhat childish manner, their glee evident. We broke from our embrace nodding at one another before turning and shooting fire and water at the two, laughing as they jumped out of the way a cloud of light dust residing where they once were. Each of them landing on the other side of the balcony and chuckling with happiness. Seeing her shoot the water bolt reminded me.

"By the way Eulay, I would love it if you taught me how to control the water element. That is, if you feel comfortable with that. We haven't found anyone to teach me so far. It's like they all disappeared, except for the occasional novice street performer. We need something better than rudimentary skills against the Queen."

Eulay looked from Aisling then back at me, a concerned look on her face, and the glances between the two hinting at a secret shared knowledge. I felt a pit forming in my stomach. Why did I feel like I would not like the information I was about to hear?

"We would be honored to show you what we know in regards to the water element, I think it would be another great chance to bond, but...do you not know what happen to the Kingdom that specialized in the water element?"

Draioct and I now took turns looking at one another, him speaking up within the back of my mind.

"Did you know there was a Kingdom that was known for the water element Adam?" I shrugged as we continued our silent conversation.

"I would think someone would have told us, could we have really never heard about it?" Draioct finished our conversation by shaking his large head no.

The whole thing would have looked pretty bizarre to anyone that didn't know we communicated telepathically, two people and two dragons looking at one another and shrugging and shaking their heads, with no actual audible sounds to be heard.

"Eulay. Draioct and I had no idea that there was a Kingdom that was known for the water element. We are from the time after Queen Vadoris came into power. What happened to the Kingdom?"

"Ah yes I am so sorry. I keep forgetting that not everyone ages the same as us. The Kingdom was one of the many taken down by the Queen in her rise to power. Water is the natural equalizer to Fire, so she took them out of the equation. There are people who still learn the skill out of natural ability, but coming across a teacher from that Kingdom is unheard of these days. I was fortunate enough to receive training in secret before the Kingdom was completely destroyed."

Wow. Just add another reason the Fire Queen needed to be stopped. She was so worried about the possibility of being stopped that she almost wiped a culture and a people from our world. There is no atonement for something such as this. The blood practically boiled in my veins at this new information.
