Stefan showed up at my house early in the morning, Elena on his heels. "What are you doing here?" I questioned. "At eight in the morning. It's the weekend."
"You're helping Damon too, remember?" Stefan reminded me.
"Can I change my mind?" I questioned quickly.
Elena and Stefan shared a look. "Wanna join the team of working behind Damon?" Elena questioned slowly. Elena and Stefan walked inside, passing by me, as I joined them in the kitchen.
"Do you think that Damon really believes us? That we're all trying to help him?"
"I don't think Damon know what to believe. Trust isn't something that comes naturally to him."
"You know... I really think that Damon believes in everything he's done, every move that he's made, he's done for love. It's twisted, but kind of sad." Elena said. I looked at the ground awkwardly, wondering why I was putting myself through this torture. Because you still love Damon, you want him to be happy, even if that happiness doesn't involve you. Bethany said.
"There are other ways to get what you want. You don't have to kill people. Damon has no regard for human life. He enjoys inflicting pain on others." sounds like someone I knew when I was alive. "For 145 years, every single time that I have let my guard down, and let Damon back into my life, he's done something to make me regret that. I'm not going to make that mistake again."
"So what do you think will happen if the tomb gets opened and Damon gets Katherine back?" Elena asked. I frowned, wishing that I didn't want that to happen, but I knew that Bethany was right. I just wanted Damon to be happy.
"I think that no matter what Damon promises, a lot of people will die." Elena sighed, lifting up a picture. "That's Jonathan gilbert."
"What's this?" Elena questioned, opening some box that it was on top of.
"What are you guys doing?" Jeremy questioned, walking into the kitchen.
"Hey. Just going through some stuff, feeling sentimental." I lied. "Dad had this whole family journal from years ago. I thought I'd dig it up."
"Jonathan Gilbert's journal?" Jeremy questioned.
"Yeah, what do you know about it?" Elena asked.
"I just did a history report on it."
"So where is it now? I asked.
"I gave it to Mr. Saltzman, he wanted to see it."

I stood just outside of the kitchen, listening to Damon talk to my mom. I got that he would be happy with Katherine, but did he had to torture me by being in my life until then? I'd rather just go cold turkey on being around him, so that it wouldn't hurt as much when he left.
"My father never approved of anyone I dated, which only made me want them more. Of course. What about you?" I heard Damon ask Jenna. I felt pathetic, standing out here, eavesdropping on their conversation because I couldn't stand being in the same room as Damon and Jenna. "There were a few guys. Logan isn't the only loser I've dated."
"They ever find him? Or is he still missing?" I knew that I was meeting Logan tomorrow, but I had almost forgotten that everyone had just assumed that he was dead, or missing to the humans.
"He's not missing. He's in the bahamas working on his tan. Very entitled, that one. Marches to his own drum. He's foul. They're all snooty." Jenna said, as Elena walked up next to me. She pointed in the kitchen questionably.
