Bethany sat at a bar alone, drinking all her problems away. She drowned another glass, as the compelled bartender quickly filled up her glass. A person that Bethany had hoped to not see for a long time sat in front of her.

"Bethany." Elijah said, giving her a friendly sarcastic smile. "Long time no see."

"Many years attempting to hide from your brother with my best friend."

Elijah nodded. "And where is the lovely Katerina?" He questioned.

Bethany shrugged innocently. "Last I heard somewhere in Russia."

"She left you?"

"I left her." Bethany corrected. "I got tired of running. Katerina's business is none of mine." She added, drowning another glass. "But you got your answer. You don't have to be here anymore. If you're here, I'm sure your brother is not far behind, and that's the last thing I need."

"Niklaus isn't your problem. You're not the only one to leave a person behind." Elijah replied.

Bethany lifted her glass up mockingly. "Cheers."

Last night after the fight with Jenna I had decided to spend the night at the boarding house. In general I have my hunger under control but I really bad nightly temptations. I jerked upwards from the flashback, it had happened right as I was reading a good part in a book to. I heard books drop and I sped to where I had heard the noise, ever since Damon almost died I have been starting to get really bad paranoia about someone coming after him. I looked over to see Stefan going the hunt as well.

"Playing hide and seek?" I questioned, looking at all the books on the floor.

"Ha ha, very funny" Damon responded, continuing to look through the books

"What are you looking for Damon?" Stefan questioned.

"None of your concern" Damon responded.

"No, but putting Elena and Misty in harm's way is my concern" Stefan explained.

"I can take care of myself Stefan, thanks though" I explained, Damon looked over at me.

"Tough girl, I like it" He said with a smirk which caused my heart to beat rapidly. "And what are you talking, Stefan?"

"I'm talking about Atlanta" Stefan explained.

"Oh, yeah. We had a blast." Damon exclaimed, dropping about book onto the ground.

"I get it. You're just bitter because one of us gets to be with the person that we love, and poor Katherine is just out of reach" Stefan experience with a smirk. Once Katherine's name came up it was as if a ton of brick blocks had been thrown on me. "Unless there is another way for you to get into that tomb. Is that what Bree said?" He added.

"You're pathetic when you're fishing" Damon exclaimed.

"And you're transparent when you're deflecting" Stefan added.

"Don't you guys have school?" He questioned, looking back and forth between us.

"It's so pretty." Caroline said as I handed her the vervain necklace that Elena had told me to give her. "Thank you. God, it'll go with, like, everything. What's the occasion?" She asked me.

"No occasion. Just a little friend gift."

"Lesbian friend necklace cause we're freaky like that?" Caroline joked.
