  "Hello Misty." Damon said as he answered the door to the boarding house, if I wasn't with Bethany, I would have walked right in. My puppy rested in Bethany's arms.

"I'll trade you Stefan for Bethany." I told him plainly, with a sarcastic smile. I sighed. "He called, said it was important."

"Right this way." He said, stepping to the side. Elena was probably already here, she had left a few minutes before us.

I smiled, stepping into the boarding house. "Hey." Stefan said.

"Hey. What happened?" I asked, my smile turning to a frown as I spotted Rose.

Bethany came into sight, freezing as she saw Rose too. "Oh, my god!" She said, rushing over to her, pulling her into a hug.

"Bethany, hey!" Rose said, hugging her back.

"I am so sorry about Trevor." She said.

Rose shrugged, pulling away from Beth. Rose shrugged, but didn't say anything in return.

"Ok, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years. Although Bethany could probably fill in some blanks, she spent most of her life with the originals, it ended up getting her killed though, or I thought it did."

"It did, it's a long and boring story." Bethany said.

"I don't know what's true and what's not true. That's the problem with all this vampire crap. But Klaus is real."

"Who is he?" Elena asked, sitting on the couch with her arms crossed.

"One of the originals. He's a legend." Damon said.

"From the the first generation of vampires."

"Like Elijah." Elena said.

"No." Bethany laughed from behind Elena. "Elijah is like the easter bunny compared to Klaus."

"He was a foot soldier." Rose added. "Klaus is the real deal."

"Klaus is known to be the oldest." I added in.

"Ok, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?"

"Yes." Rose said. "No." Stefan said at the same time, as Bethany paced back and forth muttering random things. She looked uneasy, it was very unnerving.

"What they're saying is-- I mean, if what she's saying is true..." Damon said.

"Which it is." Rose interrupted.

"And you're not just saying it so we don't kill you..."

"Which I'm not."

"Then we're lookin' at a solid maybe." Damon said to Elena.

"Look, Elijah's dead, right?" I looked over at Bethany, who shook her head at me slightly. "So no one else even knows that you exist." Stefan said, his arm draped around my shoulder.

"Not that you know of." Bethany smirked.

"That's not helping." Damon glared at her.

"Look, I've never even met anyone who's laid eyes on him."

Bethany scoffed. "You mean besides me?" She questioned.

Stefan ignored her. "I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction." He walked over to Elena. "I mean, we don't know what's real. For all we know, he could just be some sort of stupid bedtime story.
