"Damon hasn't said a word to me." Stefan said, as we talked in the hall. "Every time I try to talk to him, he shuts me down."

"Do you think he's still trying to find Katherine?" I asked, not allowing the questioned to hurt me.

"I don't know. He waited 145 years, only to find out that Katherine could not care less. I mean, that's got to hurt, right?"

"And it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy." I joked.

"You have every reason to be upset with him. I know how close you guys were. Have you thought anymore about what you're going to do?"

"About what?" I smirked, informing him that I didn't want to talk about it.

"I'm sorry I brought it up. I know you're probably not ready."

"I'd just be nice if we could get through one day without having to deal with any of it." I sighed. Can't handle your love for Damon?

"Well, I want to get back to normal stuff, like fun."

"That sounds good to me." Stefan agreed. "When do we start?"

I laughed, walking away from my locket towards our first period.

I decided to go to the boarding house for lunch, because I can only survive so many hours in that place. "Have a seat, Damon." I heard someone say from the living room.

"If I knew you were into the kinky shit Damon..." I started to say with a joking grin, as I walked in on Anna and who I assumed to be her mother. "Sorry. Didn't realize that you guys were, well vampires."

The woman looked over at me, and her eyes widened in what I think was shock. "Bethany?" She questioned. Oh how I missed Pearl. I hope she threatens Damon. Not that I want him to be threatened...

I gave Anna a awkward smile, remembering clearly that the last time I had saw her, she had kidnapped me. I crossed my arms, ignoring the woman. Anna sighed. "I'm sorry, ok? I know that I shouldn't have taken you and Elena. Happy?"

I smirked. "Thrilled." I replied. I looked over at Damon, who didn't look happy. "I clearly interrupted something."

The woman was still staring at me in shock. "Mother, this isn't Bethany. She just looks, and acts almost exactly like she did. Misty, you can join us or leave." I shrugged, I had nothing better to do anyways. I sat down on the couch, draping my legs over Damon.

"I was hoping we could have a word." Pearl said, finally getting over her shock.

"Sure." Damon said, although I don't really think he had much of a choice.

"We've taken up residence at the farmhouse just outside of town. It'll suffice for now."

"All twentyfive vampires?" Damon questioned.

"Not all. Some. I imagine that a few have already left town. Others are probably still in the woods, or, like us, acclimating."

"How'd they get out of the tomb?" Damon questioned.

"I think the witch screwed up that part of the hocus-pocus."

"Ohh." Damon said.

"I understand from Anna that the founding families still have a secret council?"

I snorted, and all eyes moved to me. "Sorry, it's just, the "secret" council, isn't that secret. Only to the really oblivious people."

"That's ridiculous." Damon said.
