Chapter 1

She was enveloped in a soft ray of moonlight which cast a halo effect around her body. Pieces of white linen draped about her body. One formed a layering dress like silhouette. The other placed on her head like a veil.

He could never get this image of her out of his mind. She was breathtaking in this moment. Because she was not trying to get out the window when he actually looked at her he knew he was in another one of his dreams.

He knew he could do anything in his dreams but he rarely did. Why someone might ask. The answer to that was pretty simple actually. Because he wouldn't be able to deal with her on a day to day basis if he let his fantasies run rampant. He needed to be able to deal with her on a day to day basis. They shared a common destiny and would be in business together soon. If she ever looked at him like he was a man without freezing up. If she ever looked at him with need and desperation. If she ever looked at him with yearning and love. Then the tables would turn. But he would lose everything if he made any attempts before that.

He reminded her of a scared little rabbit his mother let him nurse back to health. The rabbit was young and actually still needed to be with it's mother so Kuranosuke didn't really know what he was doing. He forced his love and affection on the poor little creature. In some ways he cared too much. The poor rabbit died and he blamed himself. Granted later he learned that the rabbit was too young to survive without being fed every two hours and logically he now knew that his affection for it was not what killed it. But he still treated as a life lesson. If he wanted something so badly he couldn't push it.

So now in his dreams instead of taking Tsukimi in his arms and ravishing her. He smiled at her and walked away. Her dream version tried to tempt him back but he didn't give in to that temptation.

He did however turn back to her and say, "You are the dream and I want the reality. I know once I do have you that it will be well worth the wait."

Tsukimi lived at Amamizukan for seven months now. The most recent month the most eventful. The attempt to launch the brand line had not failed but it did hit a bump in the road. A bump that Tsukimi herself had put there. She felt she knew enough about jellyfish that getting the inspiration from them wasn't a problem. But she felt she didn't know enough about fashion. So she enrolled in some online fashion courses. The courses were held at seven pm every night.

Kuranosuke liked to come over while she was taking the course so he could help her. That's what he claimed anyway. It was true also, well for the most part. A truer claim would be that he just wanted to be around her. Lately, her creativity had given her a new confidence that Kuranosuke found arousing and addictive. He still had to dress in drag to get through the door but once he got into Tsukimi's room he tended to ditch the wig at least.

Tsukimi was starting to feel comfortable in the presence of Kuranosuke without the wig. It wasn't the same as the connection she felt with him when he was in drag. She felt when she thought of Kuranosuke as a female she could relax, but when she remembered he was truly a male part of her froze. Thankfully she got past the whole turning still as a statue thing but it was only mildly different on the inside for her. Inwardly she still felt a freezing trepidation around him.

The classes were going well. Tsukimi soon knew things like the difference between a v-neck and a sweetheart neckline. She knew that an a-line dress cut didn't really fit the image of a jellyfish. She knew that a lot of tulle, lace, and satin would be in her future. As these particular fabric materials matched the ideas that raced through her head.

In conjunction with the fashion course she was also taking an introduction to sewing class on Saturday mornings. Again, Kuranosuke was also taking this class. But he would meet her there and attend the class as himself.

Today was Saturday and they were both finishing their final touches to the piece of fabric they were practicing on. Kuranosuke turned to Tsukimi. Her glasses slid down the bridge of her nose while she was concentrating on the task at hand. Kuranosuke had to fight a battle with himself to push it back up her nose. She kept wrinkling her pert little nose as if she were trying to push the pair of spectacles back up with that small action. But all it was really doing was affecting Kuranosuke. When she wrinkled her nose Kuranosuke couldn't but help think of how cute the action was. Somehow the action brought out how naturally pink her cheeks were and enhanced the adorable freckles that dotted her cheeks.

I really need a new hobby to occupy my mind, Kuranosuke thought to himself.

The dreams were happening more frequently. In fact Kuranosuke could admit to himself that the dreams were now taking place on any night that ended in Y. It was desperately hard to deal with. He wish her demeanor toward him would change already.

He felt that the sewing classes were helping. At least she was seeing him outside of his full drag costume. She also seemed to be coping with that fact. She wasn't doing the whole stone thing. Nor was her body freezing to his touch. In fact he touched her shoulder and checked on her progress just to prove the point to himself. She didn't so much as flinch. This was progress right?

The problem he was having however was the fact that she didn't look his way. She continued with what she was working on. So Kuranosuke feared that she didn't even realize he was there. "Tsukimi?"

"Hmm?"

Well she sort of responded that was good right? "Class is just about over. We need to come to a stopping point."

She nodded at him and finished what she was working on. So she knew he was there but she barely responded. He really needed to turn this whole thing over to his favor. "Tsukimi, you wanna go grab some lunch afterwards?" This was out of the norm. Normally they would go their separate ways and meet up later at Amamizukan for supper and the fashion class later at 7. But he mostly wanted to see how she would react.

She looked up at him and blushed. She didn't freeze or anything just blushed. "I am kinda hungry."
