Kuranosuke realized that unlike their previous date, he only had mere hours to plan this one. He mentioned going out to eat for supper because they already had a picnic lunch date. He felt doing that again poorly reflected his creativity. He knew flaunting his father's money at a more upscale restaurant would not only be unimpressive to her but it would probably also make her exceptionally nervous. The thought of going out for fast food just seemed tacky. He wasn't about to go back to the cafe after their last experience. He stilled planned to go back to the cafe at a later date. He just feared going back too soon would make their previous experience monopolize her thoughts. Then he remembered a quaint little noodle shop that Tsukimi had mentioned wanting to try in the past.
So settling on going to the noodle shop was the easy part. The hard part was he couldn't remember the name. He could have asked Tsukimi of course but if he wanted to keep where they were going a surprise then it would defeat the purpose. He started to feel like his head was going to explode with the way it was juggling the question of whether he should bring it up with her or he shouldn't. The taxing toll it was taking on his brain made him feel a bit defeated so finally he settled on calling Hanamori.
"Hanamori, when are you not waxing the car? All I'm asking is that you take it for a spin to help me locate a noodle shop. I remember a set of cross streets it was near I just don't know the exact location or the name of it." He let out an exaggerated sigh as Hanamori continued going on and on about the car he was currently waxing. "Tell you what, Hanamori, if you help me with this small detail I won't ask you to drive me around for the next two weeks. That will give you even more time to wax the cars." Needless to say this prompted Hanamori to drop his shammy cloth and immediately assist Kuranosue.
Once he stumbled across the correct shop Kuranosuke jotted the name Rakkibouru (lucky bowl) and the address on a slip of paper and tucked it into the pocket of his jeans. They still had a few hours before they went out to eat but he had a couple of other clever ideas to do on the way.
Once they had gotten back to their apartment after visiting Amamizukan Tsukimi had immediately made herself scarce. She hopped in the shower and once under the spray found herself daydreaming about all the kisses she shared with Kuranosuke. Her fingertips ghosted across her lips imagining the heat that emanated from his own. She chewed on her lower lip as a warmth of pure excitement enveloped her body.
Would tonight end up like the other date night? Would it also end where she had to convince Kuranosuke to stop? If it did, would her actions be the same? She was beginning to notice how much she was craving more of his kisses. She was starting to become more aware of the different looks that came across his face when he looked at her. Was she just oblivious before? Is that why she didn't notice his heated looks? Maybe she didn't understand what those looks meant, or maybe he had been more guarded around her before. Could that be it? Since that first time they had kissed, since their first date, did Kuranosuke drop his guard intentionally? It's possible it was unintentional though too.
