Idon left when he got a phone call from his father about some issue that rose with his mother. Phaeton sat at the library in silence, sipping his tea.
"What was with your parents and calling you both with something that sounds exactly the same?!" Phaeton complained. Aidon sighed, agitated.
"You're the only one complaining." He eyed Phaeton's cup of tea. "And just so you know, it's 'Aé-don' verses 'I-don'." He turned to the servant waiting at his door. "Bring me a cup of coffee." He said to her. She nodded and left. Aidon turned back to notice Phaeton still craning his neck towards the door. He looked at the God expectantly. After Phaeton sat back in his seat, he looked at Aidon, confused.
"What?" He asked.
"What do you mean 'What?'? What are you looking at?!"
"That maid." Phaeton leant forward and lowered his voice. "The maids you have here... They're all so damn hot... How do you stand not doing any hanky-panky with your la-"
"Shut it. I'm not interested." Aidon didn't even want to hear the rest of the sentence.
"Of course... Why choose any of them when the perfect woman is right up stai-" Phaeton burst out laughing when Aidon gave him a judgmental look.
"I know you're trying to frustrate me and let me tell you, I can manage." Aidon made it sound like a threat but Phaeton didn't take it to heart.
"Don't tell me you've never thought of it. She's a beautiful young woman. Isn't it her birthday? No parties?" The old God got a mischievous look on his face. "Unless you're having a private part-"
"She turned 17, in case you've forgotten." The maid walked back in and put down Aidon's coffee on the table.
"Doesn't mean she isn't beddable. You're a Go-" Phaeton stopped talking. He realized the maid would understand english.
"I've better things to do." Aidon relaxed, glad the God stopped himself and got up after downing his coffee in one go. "You better not do anything funny Phaeton. My library is not a place to do what you're thinking of." Aidon glared before he left to go up the stairs.
He looked back to notice the maid getting flattered by some comment Phaeton made. The God knew how to charm women. But what was it that he had said about Dia's birthday?
A party?
In the situation they were in right now? With a demi-God out to get her revenge? He doubted it would be the best of ideas. But then again, who in their right mind would walk into a party full of Gods and Goddesses to wage war on one of them? He doubted Heracles had an army at her side yet. Just her half mortal accomplice and love, Megara.
"Dia?" He opened the door to her room. She had just finished her dinner and was now munching on an ambrosia cookie.
"Aidon." She greeted him indifferently. He closed the door behind him. He knew now was not the time to get angry at her but his easily irritable nature made him frustrated with her for not acknowledging his entrance. He stormed up to her and grabbed her face by both his hands, jerking them up to see him. "Ow wha-?!" She shrieked.
"When I enter the room, you will look up to greet me." He said harshly. "This is my house." He wasn't used to people brushing him off like she just had.
"What the fuck Aidon that is no reason to be so angry with me!" She slapped his hands away, yelling equally loudly and got to her feet. "Asking me to lose my attitude but you get to decide you don't have to lose yours?! How fair do you think that is Aïdoneús." The tips of Dia's hair seemed to come alive and her eyes turned a deeper shade of blue, captivating Aidon and catching him by surprise. He realized he was frustrated by all the comments Phaeton had been making just a while ago and that had been what had caused him to be so angry with her. It was uncalled for and unrealistic and she was right. He looked away from her, trying to think of something to do.
