We all stood just outside the castle, angels and Demons together side by side, a union I had always longed for though never imaged would ever be. “Everyone ready…. The minion team goes in first, Damon, Marcus, you shall follow behind… be careful… everyone…. If anyone dies… well… I won’t have to worry about that will, you are all strong capable warriors, and I am proud to fight, even die by your sides, and call you all my friends… yes that goes for you as well, angels”

“You…. Actually like us?” angelica said sounding shocked

“Well…. Why wouldn’t I? You are helping me out and doing me a huge favour…. Angels have a very misguided view of Demons…. We are not all cruel, most simply want to co-exist” I told her with a smile

“Wow… I never knew…” she said softly, looking away from me “thank you” with that she charged into the Castle head on

“ANGELICA! WAIT!” Bastian yelled out with concern, running in after her

“That Angel truly does love that girl…. Reapers move your ass” I heard them grumbled in annoyance but followed in after the angels.

I looked towards Damon and Marcus and grasped one of each of their hands and held them against my heart “thank you” I told them “the both of you… I owe you both so much… without you guys… I would never be here, doing what must be done” I let their hands drop slowly and turned towards the castle, gripping my staff tightly in my hand, this time I wouldn’t lose it, this time would be different. My plan that had taken years was finally coming together. I walked slowly into the castle, Damon and Marcus by my side. Guys I thought as we walked inside everyone… please forgive me when the truth comes out… I had to do what had to be done… don’t hate me for lying. One small tear fell from my eye, but I wouldn’t let it stop me, I had a job to do.

The inside of the Building was already complete chaos, Damon’s were charging at our small group from every direction. This wasn’t a cause for any real concern though, they were all small mindless demons. Demons others in our kind liked to use as guard dogs. It sickened me to see them being ripped apart, they had done nothing wrong, simply followed their instincts to protect their master. It was what had to be done though. As I got to the stairs a Larger Demon stood in the way, this one wasn’t mindless… just stupid “Brutus” I said formally “you know, the smart thing would be to let us aside, it is three against one, and your pets are busy at the moment”

“Rosie” Brutus said with a darkly sarcastic laughter “you underestimate me… but then again, I should expect that from a traitor, teaming up with angels… how very stupid of you”

“Actually I believe it is quite clever” I spoke “very few Demons know how to counter angel attacks, I am one of the few…. As is Damon but you” I nodded to Marcus, noticing my signal he moved and punched Brutus in his smug face “you do not understand the first thing about angels… even Halflings” Brutus clutched his face, his eyes burning with rage “a Halfling now that is stupid…. You know his blood could destroy you… all it takes it one drop” he grabbed out a knife and charged at Marcus. Marcus was cool and calm, ducking to dodge the knife then tripping over Brutus with a swift side long kick to his ankles. Brutus fell backwards, his back digging into the end of the railing on the stair case “Last chance Brutus” I said rather threateningly “move it, or die” I noticed Marcus had picked up the knife Brutus had dropped, that made a smile pass across my face. Brutus was stupid, but a coward, I was sure he would give in without his weapon. Unfortunately I was wrong, Brutus charged once again, bare handed, at Marcus.

Marcus grabbed Brutus by his wrist and pulled him close enough for the knife to pierce his heart. Marcus stepped back and let Brutus drop to the ground. I stepped around the dead body of Brutus and continued up the stairs, hearing Marcus and Damon follow behind me “are you ok Marcus?” I asked, I wanted to make sure he wasn’t freaking out “I’m fine” Marcus said softly “he wasn’t an ally… he needed to be killed”

“Good” I said softly, entering a large set of doors which lead to the large hallway just before the throne room

“Letting boys do your dirty work for you Rosie” came a sickingly sweet voice, a girl was standing there, leaning against the wall, waiting.

“Scarlet” I replied “still trying to act like you actually have some power over me, we both know who is stronger”

“Whatever you say…. Sister” Scarlet said, acting as if she didn’t care

“Where is Tievel? He normally never leaves your side”

“I am right here…. Sister” Tievel spoke sternly, he had entered into the hallway through a room, most likely his own room “But I am not as impulsive as Scarlet…. I will wait and see how your confrontation with father plays out…. Then I’ll choose my side”

“You TRAITOR!” Scarlet growled at him “after EVERTHING father has done for you, you are so willing to turn against HIM! And for what! For the small chance of him losing against HER!”

“It is not a SMALL chance, Scarlet, after all…. She took a dive last time, did you not… Rosie”

“Wha…what!” scarlet looked at me in shock

“I did…. And you want to know why I took a dive? Because I would have been too weak after destroying him to protect this kingdom… I needed more… I needed the angels…. Scarlet… you have two choices… stand down now… or deal with Marcus and Damon”

“You… you coward! Can’t face father on your own! HUH!” Scarlet’s words made me roll my eyes

“I have every intention of facing him on my own” I spoke calmly, walking past her “these two are only with me to subdue you two, if the need be” I approached the end of the hallway “stay out of my way, all four of you” was the last thing I said, as I entered the throne room, where I knew father would be waiting.
