Ruby-rose:
It was Marcus, I couldn’t believe it… he looked so different “I thought… he… what… how” I couldn’t get over his appearance, he was meant to be an angel but here he looked so… demonic “ruby-rose” he said softly, his eyes boring into mine “don’t… don’t touch the staff…. It’s… it will destroy you!” he said, real panic in his face. I turned to face Damon who was glaring at Marcus “what are you doing here” he growled “you have horrible timing, now look, you can go on pretending that Ruby-rose is real, and that she is yours, but you know what! She isn’t! And she is and always will be MINE!” he quickly passed the staff to Raven then lunged at Marcus. I noticed quite quickly that Marcus was only dodging Damon’s attacks, which was strange. I looked closely and finally saw it “DAMON!” I yelled out “HE IS CARRYING PEOPLE, THEY LOOK HURT!”
“RUBY-ROSE, THERE NOTHING BUT ANGELS!” Damon said, not stopping his attack “THEY DESERVE TO DIE!” I couldn’t believe how cold Damon was being, how… evil. “DAMON STOP NOW! I SAID STOP” I jumped at him, and he jerked away in surprise falling backwards and landing on the ground with me sitting on top “I don’t care if they are angels, humans or demons… you will not harm someone who is already injured”
“Rosie” he said softly, his eyes softening. He placed his hand on my cheek and kissed me softly. I kissed him back for two seconds and then jumped back. Looking up I saw the heart broken look on Marcus’ face “I…I… I” I couldn’t speak I had no idea what to say. Marcus placed the two angels on the ground and picked me up, kissing me more passionately than he ever had “I have not given up on you… Ruby-rose” he turned to Raven, his eyes begging “please… help my friends” Raven nodded and walked over to the two angels.
Marcus let me go and Damon moved to stand beside me, grabbing the staff out of Raven’s hand as they walked past each other “will this thing really destroy me” I said, looking deeply in his eyes. Damon shook his head “you really think I would let that happen Rosie” he said softly “no this staff will resurrect you… it will give you back your memories”
“Marcus” I said “you know I have always followed my heart, you know I will do what it decides… my question for you is this…. If I do what is right will you turn against me”
“Ruby-rose” he spoke softly “I could never turn against you… never hurt you”
“Thank you” I said softly, and took hold of the staff.
It took only an instant for the memories to come rushing back, my family, meeting Damon, Meeting Raven, my brother and sister, my mother…. And above all… my father. The physical change took longer, and was more painful. I held the staff close to my chest as I wrapped my arms around my body as I cried out in pain. My first thought was Damon has lied to me… he had killed me…. But the memories eradicated the worry. No I knew what this was, I turned my head slightly and saw two large dark purple wings coming from my back, I looked down to see my finger nails had turned into sharp black claws, and lastly I felt a stinging pain in my forehead where two large black horns came from my head, the pain was so intense I collapsed to the ground, using the staff to hold me up on my knees. I was panting from breath but after a minute or so I slowly stood up looking at everyone, tears of happiness in my eyes
“I…. I remember” I said softly, crying “you… you really never forgot the promise…. Did you…. Damon” I stood up slowly and stroked his face and kissed him softly “Damon” I said “we cannot be together like you hopped”
“What! Why the hell not!” Damon growled, obviously agitated
“Because I am still Ruby-rose, I remember her life… my life…. I still care for Marcus”
“Yes! Take that Damon!” Marcus said gloating
“Idiot” I said, pinching the spot between my eyes "I am not going to date EITHER of you until all this mess is over”
“Ha! She doesn’t want you!” Damon said grinning
“She want you wither!” Marcus growled back
“Yeah but here’s the thing, I’ve still fucked her more times then you have!”
“Bet she let me fuck her more often then you!”
“So you fucked her three times a day did ya!”
“Maybe I did!”
“BOTH OF YOU QUIT IT!” I yelled, getting annoyed at their bickering “WE HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO, SO EITHER SHUT UP OR I’LL MAKE SURE YOU BOTH NEVER GET LAID AGAIN!”
“Yes ma’am” they said, I could see the fear in their eyes, they were scared of me… and I liked it
“ok now this is how it’s ganna work, Maya can’t go into the palace she will be killed on sight and I’m sure Lucifer will be after her, So raven I want you to stay here and watch over her, I know you can fight plus you can make a quick getaway if the need be, Damon, Marcus, you stay with me, someone will need to take on Scarlet and Teivel, they won’t be easy… your orders are not to kill but to subdue, understand”
“Yes Rosie” Damon said
“Yes Ruby-rose” Marcus said at the same time
“Good, how are the angels going Raven?”
“The boy is healed, the girl is too she just needs to regain consciousness” Raven said
“Good, angel boy”
“Bastian” the angel growled
“Sorry, Bastian, if you are like other angels you will want to kick some demon ass, so I ask you to team up with us, I promise to reward you with whatever you so desire”
“And I get to kick Demon ass, right?”
“Yes, but not ours, you will be kicking Lucifer’s Minions ass”
“Very well, I’m in”
“You two…. Reappears” I turned to them and pointed at them “names?”
“Terra and Daisuke” spoke one of them
“Yes, you will be working with the angels to destroy the minions”
“What!” cried Daisuke
“You heard me…. You will work with them, and be rewarded handsomely” they didn’t look too pleased but they nodded in agreement.
I heard movement and turned around to see the Angel girl waking up “ugh… where am I” she said
“You are in hell” I spoke “I am Rosie…. Or as you probably knew from Marcus… Ruby-rose.... I am glad to see you are still alright, Raven did a good job patching you up”
“You…. You helped me” she said in shock, looking at Raven
“Don’t me wrong angel” Raven said “I still don’t like your kinds up themselves attitude, but I’m not about to let you die or kill you while your weak wouldn’t be right”
“Thank you” the angel girl said softly
“What is your name?” I asked
“Angelica” she said
“Angelica, your fellow angel has agreed to join us, we are invading Lucifer’s castle, and I ask that you join us”
“Well… I will get a chance for payback on him” she said
“That you will, you will be with Daisuke, Bastian, and Terra, your job will be taking out the minions…. Lucifer is mine” I added the last part darkly
“You seem to have your reasons” Angelica said “very well, I shall join you”
“thank you” I said “now, we need to rest, we will be going tomorrow, so get some sleep” I sat laid down on the ground, hugging my staff close to me, I noticed the others moving to lay down as well. I waited for the boys to argue about who would get to sleep closest to me but it never came. I felt relieved and strangely panicked…. The fact that they weren’t arguing showed just how serious tomorrow would be… we all needed our energy. Tomorrow would be a long day, my only hope was that everything would be ok.
