You never smiled because I wasn't there before. Now I am here, don't shackle down your lips. They belongs to me. Smile to please me!
As we got through the deep forest, only the sound of our galloping horse was resonating throughout the place. With the loud noise of running horse, I knew we could stumble into bigger trouble. But I wanted us to be as much far as possible from the place where we were attacked.
Even balancing the horse was a tough task for me and there he was, with no consciousness. His wobbling body that I had tied with me, was even more difficult to handle. Swinging from left to right like a drunkard, I somehow was managing to balance the horse and Erwin. Thank god, I had some experience of riding with Erwin before.
"So heavy." I murmured as I dragged the unconscious body of Erwin away from the horse. Not like his own body was heavy enough, his armored clothes was like a big stone placed above me.
Huffing and puffing, I lay down his body near under a tree. He was still bleeding and his pale face had a hint of blue. Anybody could tell, he was poisoned. I started to panic more than I was, when I was riding. At least when riding, I was focused more on something else.
My hands were trembling as I gently pulled the arm of Erwin and observed his wounds. The wound looked horrible than before. A drop of salty tear rolled out of my eyes and my thinking ability was crumbling down out of fear. My head was numb but my heart was bolting like a wild horse.
For a long time, I sat there staring at his unmoving, dead like body. My skin was crawling over the fear of losing him and my vision was blurred with the springing tears. I watched his numb body and my heart was dying along with his diminishing breathe. He faint breathe would disappear as soon as he would let it out and his hands were getting so cold that it could froze a human at a touch.
The brave and strong Erwin was lying in front of me and he wasn't moving nor was he chiding. His always teasing and smirking face looked lifeless. He was just lying like a weak and a pathetic beings.
He's dying. No, what if he die?
I placed my shivering hands on my mouth that wasn't even making a sound out of shock that was more out of the fear. The fear of losing Erwin.
Scared. Cowering. Crying.
That was all the thing I did.
Are you going to remain this weak? Are you really going to let him die like this?
My inner self provoked the weak me.
Yeah I was getting weak. In fact, a lot weaker than when I was in the palace. At least, I wouldn't shed a tear or fear a thing."No, I am stronger than this." I whispered.
"I won't let you leave me." I cried as I cupped his cheeks and shook my hand along with his head.
What was even doing? Trying to wake up the poisoned person?
I slide my hands on his arms and shook his body until my fingers again felt on his bleeding wound. His blood felt cold. It had no warmth like of a breathing person.
"The blood.." I squealed.
"I have to stop the blood."I let go of his arms and started to tore my sleeves. As if that was easy! I wasn't even strong enough to tore my soft cloth.
"For god sake." Cursing on myself, I started to dart my eyes around.
"Ah, the sword." My eyes fell on the big sword of Erwin that was hanging inside the scabbard, at a side of the horse. Wasting no time, I rushed and grabbed the sword. And even that felt so heavy.
