I'm on life row for you
I've only taken the lives I needed to
It is only for safe keeping here
As they figured out what to do
Retired now I think the lot is mine
Leaving tread on the ground
It's not a hard road to follow
Knackers I got you not
And I'm getting fat eating nuts of bull
Just keeping it real
Never heard of an oyster on the prairie
But it seems I lost my pearl
Did I lose my clam too
I sure hope she finds me all nice and hairy
What else am I to believe
Other than I'm worth the time waiting
If I rush into this and take leave
I may lose all that I've been anticipating
And may never have anything again

PoetryShort story, long stories, stories that must rhyme and by written poetically, I think. I might add my earlier poems to this collection also.
