- August 20th ~ 10:00AM -- District Court ~ Defence lobby no 1 -
Felicity and I waited around in the defence lobby for the trial to start, the latter constantly annoying me one way or another. She wanted to try and figure out which was the easiest way to annoy me, and was more focused on that than the actual trial.
"Felicity, this is serious." I told her, not looking forward to this trial at all. "Someone's life is on the line here, we can't afford-"
"Oh, you're always so serious now!" Felicity intervened, pulling a face of disgust at me. "Just because you don't see Lily for one day doesn't mean you have to be so grouchy all the time!"
I admit I have been a bit unhappy lately, but it was for a perfectly good reason! The love of my life may have rejected me or left me out and that's-!
"Defence, defendant. The trial is about to start. Please enter the courtroom." The bailiff told us.
I looked over to Felicity and sighed. "You better not pull off one of those ridiculous reasoning things of yours. I'm not going to be embarrassed in front of everyone in the courtroom again like last time..."
"You say that, but remember, it gave us another day of investigation!" She grinned, skipping towards the courtroom doors. "Don't tell me that you find your dear sister an embarrassment to pull around?"
The defendant looked at me with a hint of concern, so I forced a smile at him in hopes that his doubts about Felicity would be washed away. It really didn't work.

- District Court ~ Courtroom no 1 -
"Court is now in session for the trial of Jaxon Goddart. Is the Defence ready?" The judge asked us, glancing towards our direction.
"The defence is super ready, Your Honour!" Felicity cheered, already embarrassing me to death.
"Good. Is the Prosecution also ready?" His Honour asked the opposite bench.
"The Prosecution is ready, Your Honour." Prosecutor Bloom looked over towards her co-counsel, Anton, and smiled. Anton looked happier than usual for some reason, although I couldn't exactly explain why.
"Would the Prosecution please give their opening statement for the court?" The judge questioned them. Prosecutor Bloom nodded in response.
"The crime took place in the early hours of yesterday. The victim, one by the name of Supana Churu, was found in the basement of Cobblepot Manor, a popular tourist attraction. The defendant's fingerprints were found on the knife, and they also discovered the body. It's simple, really..." Prosecutor Bloom smirked towards us, with a look of victory already on her face.
"Why does the murder weapon always have the defendant's fingerprints on, anyway?" Felicity asked me. "It seems to happen all the time..."
"I don't think that's an important subject right now." I told her, more focused on the situation of the trial. "You can talk about it later to someone else, but not me."
"Aw, but I was so ready to go on about this!" She frowned. "You always ruin the fun, Sky..."
"The Prosecution would like to call it's first witness, if the defence would stop bickering over there." The Prosecutor sighed aggressively. "Honestly, are we going to get something done anytime soon?"
