Carol POV
I walked around the castle as I watched the snow fall from the outside.
"I would explain it to you but I'm all out of crayons and puppets!" From the distance I could see Ace and Kal. Ace was ready to attack him.
"Why you little--"
"Stop!" I yelled. "You two act like children! You will apologize to each other."
"I'm not apologizing to this sexist pig!" Ace exclaimed.
"And I'm not apologizing to this servant wench with anger issues!" They were just about to attack each other again, but I managed to push them apart. They both stuck on the wall away from each other.
"Listen you two, the Christmas Ball is in three days and I have a lot of things to do before then. I can't handle your issues for you, either get along or get out!" My voice sounds a bit scary and deep, but I didn't care.
"Maybe I should lock you in a room together to make you get along." I threatened.
"No!" They said together.
"See, now you can agree on something. Let's go Ace, we have a lot to do." Ace and Kal followed me to the ballroom where servants decorated the place and the tree. As I passed by I noticed Elizabeth in the crowd.
"Hi Elizabeth." She turned around and smiled.
"Hi Carol, how are you?"
"Good so far, nothing has gone wrong." She looped her around in my and walked forward.
"I was thinking that maybe you would like to join Melody and I visit the village to spend time with our family." She asked, as I was going to answer we heard something break and turned to see one of the Christmas ornaments shattered of the floor. I looked at the one who dropped it and walked towards him. I grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up.
"Next time be a little more careful." I hissed. He nodded rapidly and ran off in fear. I looked back at Elizabeth and smiled.
"I would be delighted to join you." With that I walked off.
Once again I was in the castle library, I managed to ditch Kal. I looked over spell books, managed to advance my abilities. I felt stronger every since I yelled at the kitchen maid, like someone was giving me power. I've practicing black magic. I felt powerful doing that, not the weak and defenseless girl I use to be, but something more. Something better!
"Carol, what are you doing here?" I looked up to see Stefan.
"Oh, nothing just--" I was cut off.
"Hiding from your guard to study more dark magic?" He guess it, I could have made up a story, but failed.
"How did you know?"
"He's been looking for you all over." Stefan sat beside me.
"What can you tell me about this family?" I asked. He sighed and took a deep breath.
"Our family has a history of... unique people. My great-grandfather was able to turn things into gold by just a touch of his hand, my grandma was a warrior with a sword."
"What can you tell me about this Daenerys Targaryen woman? I've read about her but I want to know more."
"Oh yes, grandma Dany was famous for her dragons, she had three actually."
"What made her so famous?" I asked.
"Daenerys is sold off by her brother Viserys to marry Dothraki Khal. Khal Drogo."
"Khal?"
"A warlord, Daenerys grew to love him and began to take to Dothraki customs, finding strength and determination for the first time. This leads her to stand up to Viserys's attempts to bully her into coercing Drogo. After Drogo kills Viserys by pouring molten gold atop his head for threatening his wife, Daenerys sees herself as the heir to the Targaryen dynasty, and responsible for reclaiming the throne for her family."
"Wow, that's a lot to take in."
"There's more, but I think that's enough for you to know for today." He said, he stood up and started walking out.
"Will you tell me more about her?" I asked. He tried around and nodded.
