                                                                       Chapter 7

I pulled the covers over my arms not wanting to open my eyes.  It was suddenly very cold.  I snapped my eyes open and sat up.  I looked around and spotted my window was open.  I got up and shut it looking around.

Jason?  I asked through our mind link.

What? He groaned back.

Do you know if someone was in my room? I asked.

I didn’t hear anything, why? He asked, sounding more alert.

Well my window was open. I said.

I heard pounding and my door flew open.

He walked over to me, “What happened?”

“I don’t know, I woke up and my window was open, I know for a fact I closed it last night,” I said getting freaked out.

“Well I don’t smell anything unusual,” He said.

“Ok, well I’m going to get ready for school I guess,” I said talking to him while staring at the window.

I quickly threw on a black flowing, layered skirt with an embellished belt and an off white poncho with a black belt.  I put on some black flats with a little bow on the front.  Once I finished my makeup I looked at the clock and realized I still had an hour until we left for school so I quickly, but quietly, ran downstairs.  I started up a burner on the stove and got out the eggs, bacon, and pancake mix.

I finally finished making everything and put it on three big plates.  One had pancakes, one with eggs and bacon, and the other with toast and muffins.  I got out the orange juice and set it on the island table along with the other food.

I took out an empty container and put some eggs, toast, bacon, and a blueberry muffin in it.  I searched the kitchen finally finding a sticky note and wrote Chase on it with a heart.  I quickly walked outside and into the woods farther; I set it next to the tree Chase sat at last night.  I heard a snap and turned to leave.  I walked back to the house and turned around before walking into the house.  Smiling I watched as Chase, in his wolf form, sniffed the container and looked up.  I smiled and waved before turning and walking into the house.

As soon as I walked in the door I dished up a plate of food up for myself.

Breakfast!  I half yelled half sang in the mind link.

I heard a couple groans, what are you talking about? Nick asked.

If you want any breakfast you all better get your butts down here and eat. I said.

I heard pounding and it sounded like someone fell down the stairs before I saw them run into the kitchen.

I laughed at the sight, “So who fell down the stairs?” I asked.

They looked up from stuffing their faces and Derek said, “Hunter,” With a mouth full of food.

I laughed at him and looked over as Carly walked in the room.  I smiled as she stared at the boys.

Walking over to me she yawned, “What’s wrong with them?”

“Hungry I guess,” I said with a shrug.

She laughed and I held up my plate, “Want some?”

She grabbed a piece of bacon and said motioning to the food, “Doesn’t look like I’ll get any of that.”
