[Finn]
The next morning, I was actually kind of sad. I had a lot of fun with Rey last night. All we really did was talk, but it felt nice to talk to someone after five days of complete isolation and loneliness. When we got to the coast where the ferry was supposed to be picking me up Rey reached into her satchel and shoved somethings into my arms.
The other half of my food supplies.
"Why-"
"Don't say anything just take it. I've actually grown to like you. Your funny and I can relate to you. Plus there probably won't be good food on that damn ferry. I wish you safe travels." She said, kissing my cheek.
"Thanks Rey." I said.
She scoffed. "Now don't think just because I kissed you and gave you your stuff back means we're friends." Rey said.
Before I could say anything she smirked and flashed me a wink before walking off.
Rey was an extremely confusing kind of girl. But she was also a good person. I learned she only stole to keep herself occupied. One could go crazy all alone in those woods. Although, I'm pretty sure she already kind of did.
I sat with my legs dangling over the pier, waiting for the ferry. There were other people out here as well, waiting. Some looked like hurt soldiers. Others looked like stragglers looking for a way to get out of the war zone. My eyes landed on one person in particular. A soldier. Resistance. I could tell from her jacket.
She was standing with a man. He was very tough looking but was dressed like a regular person. But the girl.
Her leg.
It was...amputated.
She stood on a fake leg thingy. I wasn't sure what they were called. What had happened to her that she needed her leg chopped off? What happened? This is why the war needs to stop. It has to.
I hesitantly walked towards the girl, scared that the dude behind her would beat me to a pulp if I came within five feet of her. The girl smiled as she watched me approached her. I'm not sure what I was going to say when I hit over there. I'm sure she's gotten many apologies about her leg. Maybe she's want to hear it from the other side too.
"H-hello...I um...I'm Finn."
"I'm Gloria. What can I do for you?"
"I uh...I wanted to apologize. About your leg. I thought you might want to here it f-from a First Order soldier."
"Ah. So you're from The First Order. What're you doing out here all by yourself? I thought they made you all in labs." She giggled.
"Technically we were snatched from our parents, but...they like to call it science." I joked.
She smiled. "Well thank you Finn." She said.
I nodded and walked off towards where I was sitting before. When the ferry finally arrived I was one of the first people to get on. I rushed up to the top floor and set my backpack down where I was sitting. Then I went to the edge and looked at the water. It was so pretty in the morning.
