And then they fell in love.
He loved her more than anything, as he told her. And she loved him even more than that, as she would usually reply.
They had met in a science class at school, instantly becoming friends.
It took a few months for them to start hanging out more outside of school. They would go biking together, roam the streets by her house.
She would take him to her favorite spot, behind an elementary school, by a small patch of forest. It was secretive, rarely receiving visitors other than them.
All they wanted to do was be with each other.
They eventually had more classes together at school. He wouldn't always do the classwork, sometimes he'd just rest, he didn't always feel good.
She would rub his back, and put her head down next to his.
Her grades dropped.
He would sometimes ask that she'd meet him behind elementary school, when she was supposed to be home, but she'd do anything to see him.
He was always gentle with her, never wanting to hurt her, always trying to please her. He would ask her to be brave and have fun, and she'd do anything for him.
He said he would do anything for her.
He didn't like her friends though, her friends had to change.
And he didn't like it when she did classwork without him, she'd have to wait for him to be ready.
And he didn't like when she would eat too much, or too little, or not smell good, or work out, because she always smells bad after working out.
They eventually stopped biking, he said she was building up her muscles and it made her look awkward.
She gave him everything, including her happiness. But she never realized that. She was too stressed from failing school, having her parents always be unhappy with her, and her boyfriend deserved so much better than her.
One day he promised he would be at their spot, she wanted him to make her feel better, to take away her pain.
He didn't show up. Her phone wouldn't stop ringing, it was her parents calling again and again.
She couldn't take it any more.
And then she walked to the road, and waited for his car. He still didn't show up, but other cars drove by, some going faster than they should have.
And then she fell onto the road, when a car was coming by at just the right speed. It crushed her body, she wasn't alive for long. She only felt the wind get knocked out of her.
But he showed up later and he saw her that night.
