And then she kissed her and flew into the night.

She always got her pills from her best friend, but never asked how her friend got them.

She knew her friend loved her, and when they'd get high together she'd let her friend take things further than they should have ever gone.

But she couldn't help the fun of it.

It was always fun, always.

Even that night was fun.

When her friend gave her a couple of new ones to try. They both shared a smile that sent her friends heart soaring.

She couldn't stop that night. One after the other, kiss after kiss. Until they were just laughing and enjoying themselves.

It was always the same place. The old cliffside, that they'd sneak past fences and gates to get to. It was a part of a small canyon, that people could take nature walks through.

Sometimes it was just them, sometimes they'd have more people with them.

That night, it was just the two of them. Things didn't become heated, or passionate, they were just high together, and loving the feeling.

They sang, and danced, and undressed some parts of themselves because they felt like it, because they just wanted to have fun.

They only wanted to have fun...

They continued to have fun, with more making out, more pills, more time spent out in the warm air, on the cliffside, with the full moon lighting up their faces and hair. They were taking it all in.

She promised her friend she would always be there for her, that whenever her friend would need her, she'd fly to her rescue.

Her friend giggled and said that she was being silly, she couldn't fly.

She showed her friend.

She showed her friend, that she could fly.

And then she jumped.

And then she flew very low and came back to sleep with her friend until the morning, or at least, that's how the friend remembers it. Her friend can't bare the thought that she had never made it back up the cliff. That she looked over the cliff edge in the morning wondering where her friend had gone, and there she was. At the bottom of the cliff side. Because she wanted to prove she could fly.

And she did.
