VIOLET SAT IN silence whilst everyone around her did their own thing. Sitting at the table in the kitchen was Ellen and Castiel who were drinking shot after shot of tequila. Jo was sat beside the two but she kept to herself with a bottle of beer.
Meanwhile, Sam and Dean were sitting at opposite sides of a desk on the other side of the room, both harbouring half empty bottles of beer in their hands. Being the killjoy that she was, Violet stuck with apple juice. She wasn't in the mood to drink too heavily – she was far too upset.
Tomorrow they would be facing the devil. Everyone had their own way to prepare for the upcoming battle and for Violet, that was by keeping to herself and being silent. For everyone else, it was by drinking their sorrows away.
It had only been a day since Castiel had revealed his secrets to Violet. Since she'd found out, Violet had felt very deflated. She wanted answers but the answers that Castiel had given her weren't the ones that she wanted. The blonde was distraught to have found out she was just a pawn to the angel and to her deceased boyfriend. Jackson's involvement in the secrets was what hurt Violet the most. The blonde never would have thought that he of all people would betray her like that and she was devastated. She wanted nothing more than to cry, and cry.
Sam and Dean had noticed Violet's behaviour change. Dean originally assumed it was because of the conversation he'd had with her the previous day where he'd shouted at her, but Violet had dismissed this. Which meant that the blonde was upset because of something else. Seeing Violet upset only saddened the Winchester's – especially Dean. The two men hated seeing the blonde so sad, especially as they didn't know why she was sad in the first place. Dean wanted nothing more than to hold her for the remainder of the night but Violet was trying her hardest to keep away from everyone, including him.
The sound of a phone ringing stirred Violet out of her thoughts. The blonde cast her gaze away from Sam and Dean and pulled her phone out of her pocket. Her eyes glanced down at the caller ID and the blonde got off of the chair she'd been sitting on. Sam and Dean raised their brows questioningly at the blonde and she flashed them both a small smile.
"It's my mom, I'll be back in a few minutes. I promised that I'd call her tonight."
Dean nodded and flashed the blonde a smile, "See you in a few minutes."
With that, Violet exited the room.
The blonde walked out of Bobby's house and called her mother back. After two rings, she picked up. Violet happily spoke to her mother on the phone whilst trying her hardest to hide the fact that she was upset. Her mother knew her very well and if Violet wasn't careful, she'd realise she was upset – and that was the last thing that Violet wanted.
As the two spoke on the phone, Violet caught a glimpse of a figure watching her in the darkness. The blonde furrowed her brows and squinted slightly so that she could make out the figure, but it was no use. It was far too dark for her to see unless she took a few steps forwards. Which was exactly what Violet did.
Violet's eyes widened as she realised that it was Jackson standing before her and the blonde bit down on her lip. She was just about to call out to him when she realised that she was still on the phone with her mother. After quickly bidding farewell to her mother, Violet stashed her phone in her pocket and took slow, hesitant steps towards Jackson.
The dark haired man was still as Violet walked over to him, his eyes watching her every move. He immediately noticed that the blonde appeared to be hesitantly walking towards him, and was saddened by this. Jackson knew Violet very well and he knew that she was upset with him. He could tell by the way the blonde carried herself. That, and Castiel had informed him of what had happened the previous day.
