THE NEXT FEW DAYS WERE PAINFUL. Everyone was dealing with the deaths of Ellen and Jo in their own way — with some ways being more odd than others.

Bobby kept to himself in his study and drank on his lonesome. He refused to have contact with anything other than alcoholic beverages and was living up to being a bitter old man.

Sam delved into further research about Lucifer and the apocalypse. This was done in hopes that he'd be able to find something to help them in their war against the devil.

And Dean drank as much beer as he could take until he passed out whilst Violet just cried her eyes out — mainly when she was on her own.

Castiel didn't seem to mourn. Or perhaps he did, but he didn't show his sullen attitude around his friends.

It had been five days since the hunters had attempted to kill Lucifer. They were still holed up at Bobby's, no one had left the house aside from Violet and that had been on one occasion to buy groceries to restock the fridge.

During that time, Violet had seldom spoken to Dean and she was beginning to feel the effects of being away from him. She missed Dean and she missed his company. She was hoping that he'd forget about what had happened when they got back to Bobby's place but he seemed more stubborn than ever.

At this point, the blonde was debating telling him everything.

She knew that he'd be furious with her for keeping such secrets from him in the first place, but Violet didn't want to lie to him any longer. Hell, she didn't want to lie to him in the first place — she just didn't want him to see her differently.

Castiel wouldn't be pleased with her revelations though and this was what drove her to remain silent. She didn't want trouble with the angel, especially as she knew what he was capable of.

Violet was currently stood outside the spare bedroom, pacing back and forth down the corridor as she thought about what to say to Dean. Her mind was completely blank.

The door creaked open and Dean revealed his head through the small gap. His eyes were red and he looked angry but the moment he noticed Violet, they softened for a split second. It seemed as though he'd forgotten that he was angry with her in the first place.

After a few seconds of blank, silent staring at one another, Dean resumed his stone hard glare at the blonde.

"Quit it."

Violet pursed her lips but just as she was about to say something, Dean beat her to it.

"What do you want?"

The blonde shifted uncomfortably on her feet and let out a light sigh. "I'd like to talk to you."

"Yeah?" Dean said sarcastically before scoffing. "Well I don't want to talk to you."

And with that, the older Winchester moved away from the door and shut it.

Violet stood in silence as her mind replayed what had just happened. Her mouth was agape and her eyes were wide with shock.

The sound of footsteps stirred her out of her thoughts and the blonde couldn't help the frown that was currently growing on her lips.

"Violet, what happened? I heard a door slam. Is everything okay?"

Sam asked with pure concern laced in his voice. The blonde firmly shook her head, making Sam's brows raise in question.

"What's happened?"

"Dean's being an ass."

Sam couldn't help but smirk as the words left Violet's mouth but the smile was instantly wiped away when he saw the anger clearly evident in Violet's eyes.
