You woke up 6:00, did your morning routine, and then ate breakfast with Jason. You still felt weird but you just brushed it off. Once you got to work you did the same thing you did yesterday and the day before that. You were in a rut. You decided to just power through all your work before lunch so that you could just leave early and go shopping or something. Anything to take your mind off of the weirdness that you felt. You were editing pictures of couples and other romantic-type things. The theme was "In The Mood For Love". If only you were in the mood for love. You loved Jason but not in a romantic way, not the way you once loved Ian. If love were enough, you'd still be with Ian. You couldn't even remember why you two broke up, it was two years ago and everything was a blur. You tried to find out how he was through Summer and Jordan but they never said much. They were too busy in their own lives to gossip with you. You understood but at the same time you just needed someone to talk to. You didn't have any friends here in New York unless you counted Jason. You used to talk to Jason all the time, that's what made you like him. He was a great listener. It seemed like you had forgotten all his great qualities once you said yes to his proposal. You hated yourself for not loving him but you were too much of a pussy to break up with him. He was sensitive and you didn't want to hurt him. Deep down you did care about him and one day you might even love him.

Ian
It was 11:00. You guys had slept in for awhile. It was understandable considering you all got drunk last night. You laid in bed for a couple minutes to collect your thoughts. At first you regretting drinking so much last night, but it was nice to have people to just have fun with. Back home, you didn't have many friends. Jordan was always busy and when he did have time for you, he was only good for a couple hours. You understood but you wish you had more friends. You rolled out of bed and went to the kitchen. Max was laying on the couch drinking coffee. Joji offered you some and you sat down at the table.

"Well, I'm still fucked from last night." Max said in his Australian accent. 

"Tell me about it." Murmured Joji.

"Hey I'm hungry, do you guys wanna get some breakfast? Or lunch? brunch?
Or whatever the fuck it is." You said

"Yea, sounds good. I know this really great café in the city." Joji said.

"Excellent" Max said.

You three walked to the subway and took it all the way to the city. You couldn't believe how many people were on one train. Once you reached your destination, you got off and started walking to the café.

It was time for your lunch break. You walked out of your building and walked to Jason's. He was a couple minutes late but it was fine. The less time with him, the better. He walked out and pulled you into a hug. You hugged him back. It was awkward but kinda nice. He grabbed your hand and you two started walking to the café. You were pretty hungry, good thing you were close.

Ian
Once you got there, you were seated right by the door. It was a small booth. You sat facing the door and Max and Joji sat opposite of you. It seemed like a nice little place. It wasn't super busy, which was surprising. You ordered milk, Joji ordered orange juice, and Max ordered water. The service was pretty fast too. The waitress came back with your drinks and took your orders. The bell on the door rang as someone walked in. As you looked over, you began choking on your milk once you saw who walked through that door. It was her. (Y/N) was standing right in front of you and were in complete shock.

You walked into the café and took a look around the place, it was pretty empty today, which was nice. You heard someone coughing and looked over only to see Ian. He was looking directly at you and your eyes met. You took a deep breath and gave him a confused look and then immediately looked away. It was like you had seen a ghost. You let go of Jason's hand, hoping that Ian hadn't seen you two holding hands. You and Jason were seated on the opposite side of the café. You began to start breathing heavily and kept look over at him.

"Babe? Are you ok?" Jason asked

"Um...um...yea. I just have to go to the bathroom." You said as you quickly walked away from the table. You looked behind you and noticed that Ian had gotten up as well. He followed you to the bathroom area.

"Hey..." you said as he came around the corner.

"Hey..." He said quietly.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm visiting Joji, he lives here too, remember?"

"Oh yea...that's right." The more you stared at him, you couldn't help but smile.

"It's nice to see you" He said while smiling back at you.

"Yea, it's good to see you too." You noticed that Jason was looking around for you. "Look I should get back..."

"Oh yea, me too. Here you go first."

You walked back to your table and a few minutes later Ian walked back to his. You two ate your meals while looking at each other every once in a while. You all finished your meals at the same time. Jason went to pay just as Ian went to pay as well. You decided to wait for Jason outside and saw Joji smoking a cigarette.

"Hey, (Y/N). It's been a long time. How've you been?" After puffing out some smoke.

"I've been ok, how've you've you been? You know, I actually forgot you lived in New York too."

"Yea, I've been good."

Just as Jason finished paying you quickly asked Joji,

"Hey, I know this is weird, but can you give Ian my number? And tell him to call me?" You immediately regretted what you said. "Oh my god, that came out really bad. Never mind."

"No, no, it's ok. I'll give it to him."

You quickly gave him your number just as Jason walked out the door to meet you.

"You ready to go?" Jason asked.

"Yea, I'm ready." You said as you looked back at Ian in the café.
