Sunday afternoon, sitting on the front steps of her apartment building was Clover. She was sitting with her sister since their mom forced them to go out and get some fresh air instead of being in the house all day.

Clover was half laid out across the steps as she had bandages wrapped around her ribs from Friday night. She was wearing a white v-neck and ripped faded blue jeans with some sneakers that she had kicked off.

She looked over at her sister Destiny who was in a white body suit with some jean shorts and sandals.

"Stop looking at me." Destiny spoke as she continued to scroll through her phone. Clover looked back down at her phone where she was texting.

As the two sister sat there without a word spoken between them, they heard someone walk up to them. Clover looked up and smiled seeing bright hazel eyes staring back down at her.

"Hey, whatcha doing here?" She asked.

Rye shrugged as he pulled his joggers around his hips since they were slipping down. "Nothing. I was going to go visit my brother, but I found my favorite little mama." He sat down in between her legs and leaned his head against her thigh. "Who's this, princess?" Rye asked.

Clover looked over at her sister who was nearly drooling over Rye's gorgeous features. "Rye, that's my sister Destiny. Destiny, this is my...friend kinda-ish person, Rye."

Destiny looked over Rye as he sat there in his white undershirt with an unzipped blue jacket and red joggers with black and red Jordan's.

"Hi." Destiny waved flirtatiously. "How old are you? You're gorgeous."

Rye chuckled. "Thank you. And I'm 18."

"Perfect, you wanna go catch a movie some time?" Destiny asked.

"Destiny!" Clover protested. "You have a boyfriend!"

"So? And he's to old for you. He's 18!" Destiny yelled back.

Clover frowned. "I'm 17!"

Destiny rolled her eyes as she got up and walked off. "I'm leaving. Tell mom I hoped you got kidnapped."

"Ditto." Clover called after her. She looked down at Rye who was laughing as he felt Clover play with his hair. "I love how you live across town and still come to see me. Stalk me much?"

Rye chuckled. "Nah, my brother lives in 4B of this building actually. Him, his wife, and their son. You're the one stalking me."

"I live in one of the apartments. I'm forced to enjoy the sunny day, but thanks to you my ribs hurt to much to do anything. They're sore."

Rye chuckled. "My fault, baby girl. I bought you red roses like you asked. I thought you'd be over it."

Clover shrugged as she paid more attention to her phone than to him. "Nope." She muttered.

Rye sighed as he laid his head on her thigh and stared at her. "So we just gonna sit here on these steps?"

"I am. You can visit your brother." She answered. "I'm not keeping you."

Rye sighed as he got up. "I'll be back. Please don't get taken while I'm gone, princess."

"No promises." Clover answered as she listened to him go to the front door and hit the buzzer to her brother's apartment.
