Have you ever had those people in your life who start out as friends? But as time goes by, they slowly become enemies.
Maybe you guys start as best friends. And it starts going downhill by one small argument. And now suddenly when you guys see each other at church or if you pass by them everyday at school, you glance away.
It hurts us very deeply when we lose friends and people close to our hearts. Sometimes, it even scars us for life, making us think that every person is like this.
But not every person is like this. There are some who will listen to you pour out your heart to them and keep it there, making sure they tell no one. There are some who won't stab your back in your hard times. And there are some who will help you through the hurts and tears by being by your side at all times and strengthening you with their prayers.
No one deserves to be hurt, no matter who they are. From the snob who gives every girl in class a hard time, to the quiet girl in the back with the cuts and bruises on her arms.
Everyone deserves an encouraging word, a kind smile, and a listening heart.
So I dare you today, to open your hearts and arms to the ones that are least expecting. You just might save a life.
