Chapter 3

Italics: thoughts

Normal POV

Team seven was currently in the middle of the most dreaded D-rank mission in Konoha, catching Tora the cat.

They ran at the cat from all of their surrounding positions. It tried to escape but was ultimately caught by Sakura. Tora started to scratch at her face, leaving thin red lines all over her face. She passed it of to Naruto who simply caught it. She pet the cat and it began to purr.

'Damn cat' Sakura thought.

"Good job, let's report to the hokage" Kakashi said jumping down from a tree.

When they finally reached the tower, Sakura grinned evilly as she enjoyed the sight of the cat being squeezed to death by the owner. The people around her took a step back.

"Now then, there are plenty of other D-rank missions available. Babysitting , gardening, grocery shopping, etc." The hokage listed.

"Could we get a C-rank?" Naruto asked.

Cue Iruka's lecture that was completely ignored.

"Kakashi do you think they're ready?" The hokage asked the masked nin.

"I think so" he eye smiled.

"Well then please bring the Tazuna in" the doors opened and revealed a man. Said man walked in wobbling and clearly drunk.

"Whash this? Theese brats are gon protect me? Pinkie, Duckie, and Blondie?"

"Rest assured I'm a jonnin so there is nothing to worry about" Kakashi eye smiled as he kept his team from killing the man.

"Now then pack up and meet up at the gates in two hours, dismissed"

Two hours later, all of team 7 and Tazuna were at the gates. They set off towards the land of waves. A ways away from the village the came across a puddle, disregarded by most everyone. Kakashi fell in the back, and after they had passed it, two ninja came flying out and wrapped their chains around him. Supposedly 'killing' their sensei, one of the nin headed in Sakura's direction. She was frozen in fear as Naruto countered his attack and sent him crashing into a tree. Sasuke took care of the other and they tied them up with ninja wire.

Kakashi came out of the trees and congratulated them on a job well done. Sakura went over to him and was fussing over how she thought he was dead.

They moved on with the journey. Hearing a rustling in the bushes, Naruto threw a kunai into a bush.
(I almost typed threw a bush into a bush😂) A white bunny came hopping out from where she threw it.

"Naruto!!! You almost hurt an innocent bunny" Sakura scolded her. Naruto picked up the bunny. Though from where Sasuke was standing, it looked like she had bunny ears. The light pink was once again on his face.

While Sasuke was thinking this, both Naruto and Kakashi realized the bunny was WHITE.

"Duck!!" Kakashi yelled pulling Tazuna, and Sakura with him.

Naruto had tackled Sasuke to the ground just as a giant sword swung overhead. Even in this dangerous situation, the fact that Naruto was practically HUGGING him, caused him to become one with the tomatoes he oh so liked.

"Copycat Kakashi" a new voice echoed. They turned to see a man standing on top of his sword with had bandages around his face.

"Zabuza Momochi" Kakashi followed. He stepped forward protectively standing in front of his team. Lifting up his headband, he told his team to protect Tazuna. His now revealed sharingan came as a great surprise to Sasuke.

Zabuza pulled his sword out of the tree and engaged in battle. Kakashi appeared from behind and stabbed him, only to turn into water. He reappeared behind and stabbed him, Kakashi also turned into water.

"Water clone huh?"

The fight went on and soon Kakashi was backed into the water, it was his mistake. Zabuza trapped Kakashi in a sphere of water as soon as he touched the surface. Kakashi was about to tell his team to run, however remembered just who exactly was on his team.

"Naruto assistance!!" Kakashi yelled out. She threw a kunai at the enemy and disappeared. Before Zabuza knew it, Naruto was infront of him ready to slash him open. He jumped back as this motion cause Kakashi to be released.

"Thanks Naruto" Kakashi thanked as he continued his battle. Though just as it was about to be his win, something struck Zabuza down. A hunter-nin appeared to take Zabuza away. He thanked them as he claimed to be following him for years. Kakashi checked the pulse and felt nothing, and with that the hunter-nin left.

Kakashi soon collapsed from fatigue. Sasuke and Naruto supported him as they made their way to Tazuna's house.
