Chapter 5

Italics: thoughts

Normal POV

There weren't enough rooms in the house for everyone, so team seven slept together in the same room. Four futons were layer out on the floor. From left to right was Kakashi, Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura. Sakura of course was displeased she didn't get to sleep next to Sasuke. Currently they were all fast asleep.

~Sasuke's Dream~

"I love Sasuke the most!!!" Naruto said with a wide smile as she came close and hugged him. Sasuke patted her head with contented smile. But then he heard a sound.

~Dream Over~

Sasuke opened his eyes only to see darkness. He blinked a few times to let his eyes adjust. When he could finally see what was making the sound, the continuous tossing and turning of Naruto. She had a frown on her face and was clearly having a nightmare. He wasn't exactly sure what to do, so he gently stroked her hair. She calmed a little, but the discontent was still on her face, and she was gripping her pillow hard.

He got closer to her and tried to cover her with the blanket that was at the other side of her futon. So he reached over her to get it, though it was at this moment that she let go of the pillow and grabbed his shirt.

Almost immediately, his face turned 100 shades of red. She snuggled into his chest and a peaceful expression washed over her. Meanwhile Sasuke's head was spinning.

'She's hugging me' he thought

What was he supposed to do in this situation?

Something he thought would never happen.

He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer.

His face turned another 100 shades of course. He tried, failed, to not think about the situation and closed his eyes and let sleep overtake him.

The next day, Sakura was fuming and Kakashi hid a smirk under his mask as they saw them.

Sasuke was lying on his back with Naruto hugging him on her side. One of her arms across Sasuke's chest and one of his wrapped around her.

"Wake up!!" Sakura yelled at them. (she does this a lot doesn't she) Once again the only one to awaken was Sasuke, who upon remembering his situation, brought back the 100 shades.

"Ara? What's this" Kakashi said, his smirk practically in his words. Sasuke gently removed her arm and covered her with the blanket.

"Sh..she was ha..having a nightmare" he said embarrassed and went down for breakfast.

"Let's let her sleep, a nightmare isn't very restful you know" Kakashi said to Sakura.

"Yeah I guess" she agreed

They followed down the stairs and prepared to head out to the bridge.
