Chapter 6

Normal POV

When Naruto woke up today, she could feel something was wrong. She heard a loud noise and quickly went down stairs. She saw two men attempting to take away Tazuna's daughter Tsunami. Her son Inari was trying to set her free from the, what she assumed, swordsmen.

She appeared next to one of them, knocked him out, then the other, threw them into the water, said good job to Inari, and made her way to the bridge.

For the first time in a long time, Naruto felt anger. When she arrived at the bridge she saw Sasuke lying lifeless inside a dome of ice. She ran to him and checked for a pulse, but nothing.

"Is this the first time you've lost a comrade?" A voice asked.

She turned to see a masked-nin inside one of the ice mirrors. In a split second she was in front of the dome, she smashed it with a chakra enhanced kick. Her attack sent the nin flying. She quickly followed after him and did not give him a chance to escape the onslaught of attacks. Just as she was about to deal the finish blow of her anger, he spoke. Yes she knew who the forest boy was, though she never thought this would happen. The boy explained his precious person to her, and as he was finishing, he disappeared.

The mist began to clear, and now she could see Kakashi with his hand right through the boy, Haku. Zabuza stabbed his sword through him to get to Kakashi. Though after a few minutes the battle was decided. Kakashi was about to finish him off, Gato the corrupt businessman revealed he wasn't going to pay bit kill Zabuza.

Naruto asked Zabuza if he cared anything about the boy who died for him. Her tone of voice made what he felt even worse.

"Hey kid hand me a kunai"Zabuza asked and Naruto supplied, "You know Haku was always soft hearted" then he took off into the crowd of Gato's men.

Naruto turned back to look at Sasuke. She was relieved to see him alive next to a crying Sakura. She looked back in time to see Gato plummet to his death from the bridge.

Zabuza's last wish was to die next to Haku, and so he did.

The team returned to Tazuna's house to recover. With Sasuke injured and Kakashi exhausted, they wouldn't be able to make the trip home.

Currently, Sasuke was sleeping in the room along with Kakashi. Naruto was there too waiting for them to wake up, and Sakura was downstairs.

Sasuke had begun to stir, so Naruto went down to get some food. He was awake when she came back and she placed the food next to him. He tried to get up but winced in pain. Naruto helped to sit him up and because of this Sasuke blushed. Reaching for his food also gave him a great deal of pain, moving basically. So Naruto grabbed a spoonful of food and offered it to him. His blush got even darker as he took a bite. He was offered a few more until Naruto, being oblivious, noticed the redness. She pressed her forehead against his to check for a fever. If it was possible, his face got an even darker shade of red. And he fainted.

"Sasuke?"
