Chapter 8

Italics: thoughts

Normal POV

They met up with Kakashi in front of the door. He was there to make sure all three of them had shown up. Wishing them the best of luck, he left them to the exam.

First up was the written portion. They entered the room filled with rugged looking people, but soon found the other rookies and joined them. One came up to Sasuke and hugged him from behind in greeting. Sasuke of course ignored her while she fought with Sakura over who he belonged to.

A guy with glasses and a pony tail soon came up to them and introduced himself as Kabuto. He claimed that he had taken the exams multiple times and has gathered a lot of information. He took out some cards and asked who they wanted to see.

"Gaara no Sabaku and Rock Lee" Sasuke asked. Kabuto nodded and took out two cards. He read off from Lee's card about his teammates and missions, then onto Gaara. However he continued on.

"He is also the jinchu-" Kabuto said as he was cut off from an oncoming punch from Naruto.

"Sorry my hand slipped" she stated while looking away. Kabuto smirked.

"Naruto Uzumaki: 5 S-Ranks, 30 A-Ranks, 28 B-Ranks, and 20 D-Ranks. Quite impressive I would think. Oh? Also the jinchu-" Kabuto read off and was once again cut of with a more open attack from Naruto.

"What are you doing!!" Sakura exclaimed. It was then that Ibiki entered the room.

"What's going on here maggots!!" Ibiki yelled. Naruto still had Kabuto pinned to the wall.

"This person has obtain classified information even within the village" She told him. Ibiki new better than to doubt her, so he motioned two ninja behind him take him away.

After that, Ibiki continued on to explain the rules of this exam. It began and the gennin began using different jutsus to cheat. In the end, many had been disqualified. Naruto already knew the point of this, so she simply took a nap.

By the time Naruto woke up, Ibiki was yelling to see who would answer the last question. Sakura seemed to look uncertain and was about to raise her hand. Naruto threw a kunai at her desk without a second thought. This startled Sakura. Ibiki then congratulated them on passing.

In a flash, something crashed through the window. There was a large banner and a woman. She introduced her self as Anko Mitarashi. She was told that she was early. She scratched the back of her head and commented on the amount of gennin left. Leaving and telling them to meet her at the forest of death.

When everyone had arrived, Anko began to explain about the dangers and rules to pass part two of the exams. Naruto wasn't paying attention and Anko noticed this.

A kunai whizzed past Naruto to which she side stepped. However Anko appeared from behind and pressed another kunai to her throat, drawing a small bit of blood.

"Please move away from me" Naruto asked her.

"Scared of me? You'll never survive" Anko said as she licked her kunai. A woman came up and returned the kunai. Naruto stared at her suspiciously and a strong scent hit her nose. She quickly drew a kunai and rushed at the "woman". She was stopped by Anko who asked what she was doing before the round had started.

"Idiot, that 'woman' absolutely reeks of snakes, and it's not because of you" Naruto stated. Anko's eyes widened as she turned back to see the woman was gone.

"Let's continue on so you can alert jiji of the situation. No need to cause a panic" Naruto whispered to Anko as she passed and went back to her team. She told them to be wary of that person, also warning the other rookies. This was a dangerous turn of events.
