Chapter 4: Cody

Cody looked into his list. Under "New Chosen Ones" were three names, the names of three boys who had been exposed to their role in life.

"So, Aria and Seth had children, huh? Three to be exact. Three children that should have been mine! But, nooo she had to pick him! I'll show them, and then she'll realize I'm the right choice!

Chapter 5: The Journey to Joel

"Sssshhh! Let your father sleep."

"But he's slept for three days!"

"Oh, look, he's waking up."

Seth opened his eyes. He looked around. Why was he here? He should be in Thundercreek Castle, rescuing Silas. But why was Silas here? He must be dreaming. No, he could feel Kaden's aura that all telepaths have. Oh... everyone must have been killed, yeah, that was it.

"No we're not dead, I can hear your thoughts, remember? We saved Silas and brought you with us. Aaron must have hit you pretty hard, didn't he? He knocked you out cold. Mom made a floating-type-thingy and carried you."

"Ooohhhh..." Seth mouthed.

"YOU NEVER TOLD US YOU HAD A BROTHER, MUCH LESS HE WAS A TURNED!" yelled Zackary.

"I wasn't planning on this happening."

"You still could've told us!"

"How would knowing you have a Turned uncle help you in life?"

No response came from Zackary. He remained mad, however.

"In any case, we need to stop the Turned from letting the demons of Ceona run rampage, therefore destroying the existence of peace. The question is: how. We have a few valuable resources to where the Turned may be. The most reliable by far is your cousin, Tonkana. He lives not too far from here. Let's go speak with him! When Aaron was destroyed, I received his Verse. At least we know the Turned don't have that."

And with that, the Dreamveil family set off for Tonkana, who resided in Lanaiia Valley. When they got there, Tonkana greeted them with food and shelter. That night, the family had a discussion concerning where the Turned lived. Tonkana gladly told them, and when the family asked if he would join them, he rather eagerly said yes. They would leave in the morning. Tonkana was still rather sad of his father's death, but he said almost nothing. Zackary, Kaden, and Silas continued their training. It helped that Aria and Tonkana were pitching in on their training, making it a lot faster. Tonkana was a hypnotic, having the ability to force others to do his bidding without them realizing it.

Next morning, they set off on the long journey to Firemist Citadel. It would take weeks, even while flying, but Tonkana had a shortcut. He slid right through what appeared to be a solid mountain!

"The Turned wizard who lives here sometimes needs to shake off a couple of Chosen Ones now and then. The only catch is it's heavily guarded. It shouldn't be a problem for us, though."

Seth quickly transformed into a viper. Apparently, he was trying stealth. He slithered his way pass the illusion and not much later, there was a solid 'thump' of a sentry falling to the ground, followed by another. And another. And another. Then, to mix things up, a grown dragon roared its challenge.

"That's our signal," Tonkana laughed.

The rest of the family charged in. Passing through the illusion was like walking under a vent. Warm air poured down on them as they jogged through. To their surprise, Seth had already taken out most of the guards. There were still a lot of them, but there were slumps of dead bodies everywhere. Aria blinded the remaining soldiers with a swish of both hands. The kids took over. Zackary burned soldiers to a crisp with extremely powerful shots of lighting, others he sent staggering with a clap of his hands that made a respectful crack of thunder. Kaden was throwing people here and there, and sometimes killing soldiers with telepathic power. Silas was dropping the temperature rather fast with all his ice knives thrown everywhere, most lodged in soldiers' heads or chests, but some just lying on the ground. Tonkana was causing as much chaos as possible. Here and there, soldiers were attacking their comrades. Most were still in control of their mouths, but by the time they warned their fellows, it was too late. The soldier would already be chopped up. Aria and Seth were back-to-back. Aria was throwing spears of light, impaling five soldiers at a time. Seth was in a guise of a half wolf, half snake monster. It had the body of a silverback wolf and the head of a scarlet snake, each bite raining death on any who dare come near.

When the last soldier was dead, the family decided to camp in the cave-mountain. Seth, Aria, and Tonkana were stringing together a spell to transport the corpses into the Shadow World for a feast for wraithsphantomsdreamsimps, etc.

Despite being a little chilly, the mountain-cave was surprisingly comfy. Seth made an everlasting fire, and that solved that problem. After discussing the day, the family fell asleep. Tonkana, however, insisted that he kept watch.

The next morning, Tonkana suggested that they hit the road to Firemist Citadel, where the next Turned lived.

And that was what they did. First, however, they gathered supplies such as nuts, berries, some meat from a deer caught by Silas and Kaden, and bunches of leaves from a plant Seth and Tonkana swore by to be the ultimate healing potion ingredient.

Thus they started the long walk to Firemist Citadel, where the Turned wizard Joel was living.

Once they arrived at Firemist Citadel, the family immediately started questioning the whereabouts of this traitor. As it turned out, no pun intended, Joel was not only powerful and the city's leader, he had flocks of dragons, each one fully grown. Seth claimed he could take them on. He would do anything it took to ensure they get out of that evil fortress.

They made a camp at the outskirts of the city and began forming a plan, which was the same as last time: kill guards and sneak in. Then Aria announced that everyone should "get some rest. Tomorrow would be a big, big day!"

So, the family went to sleep. The next morning, they were woken up by a rustling in the bushes. Moments later, they were bound up. Some people just have no manners.
